Fords use something called P.A.T.S. (passive anti-theft system) they have a transponder chip in the keys and they are very touchy...my guess is that you knocked the transponder ring off the igniton cylindar if you took the column out or you may have forgotten to hook those wires back up...I have been installing remote start systems for years and fords are always the most touchy when It comes to bypassing the factory security.....take the plastic shroud off around the key cylindar and see if the transponder ring has popped off the cylindar or if the wires are unhooked

may sound stupid, but did you check all your fuses? i've had plenty of fords OBD II connection not have power because of a bad fuse.

the flux capacitor allows you to see some serious shit when 88mph is reached

i wish i had the answer but all i have is a smartass question....did u check the blinker fluid? the flux cap could take you back in time and let you see if you forgot to fill it. i hate it when that happens....good luck

Wow... you know you are old, when they don't know what a flux capacitor is...

If this aint the case i would try another ecu like the others said. If you computer cannot be read by the ford one then the computer is messed up somehow. Try getting a new/different computer and take it to ford to have them reprogram it, then plug it in once you know the computer is good and programmable by the dealer....hope this helps
