I'd chase control arms too if I was Kustomwerks. Known amount of time per product, and a set price.

Fact is, shops don't get paid enough for good work in this sport. I don't care who rebuts this statement. I was in it for years and had plenty of fixtures, jigs, surface tables, etc., so I could build rides with fabrication precision and quality most of you guys expect. But, most people don't pay enough for what it takes. Almost all shops in this minitruck industry make less than comparative racecar, street rod and restoration shops. That is probably why you see so much shit piling up at kustomwerks. They are tired of putting in a shitload of hours year after year to not get paid enough. Its just an idea, but I'll bet I hit it on the head.

To all you big shops out there who do great work, I say jump ship and make some good loot in other fab markets.

3 years is WAY too long, shii the ideas you have then will be old and played out.... sucks you guys have this deal, as for the time thing, they arent building 200k+ hotrods...... look at scrape n customs, they work quickly, and the work looks clean.

Nate you are %100 correct. It happened to me aswell. I will say also that minitruckers really are impatient, generally speaking. I have had people act like these guys are after only 6 months of building their trucks and they were in full contact with me every single day. I tell new guys not to have big dreams building stuff only for the truck scene cause it is way too young and there simply isnt enough money in it. If you stay determined and get good, you basically price yourself right out of the budget of the majority of your customers. So those guys get burned out and the next group of fabricators comes in, wash rinse and repeat. Its stupid and i hated it, which is why i no longer do it full time. I got a normal job and am about to finally start building stuff again, mainly my own truck finally but i will do work for people at my price which will reflect on the quality of work i do. Sucks i have had to go through a mountain of bullshit and sacriface to only get this damn far...grrr but i love building shit so ill be back soon...

Aight... first off u guys get on here and bitch cause they are takin to long with the arms... now u come on here and get all huffy cause they take to long on the rides??? If u think they are takin to long how come u havent went and got it and done it yourself??? Maybe cause u dont know how to do it right??? If u dont know how to do it right let the pros do it. Matt and Eric do some of the best work in the biz, yea it takes them awhile to do it, because there are only 2 of them working there. They might get help here and there from other people but when it comes down to it only those 2 can do the work up to the standards that they want it to be when it rolls outta the shop. I hear everyone calling and not gettin an answer from them... Do u want them to be on the phone all day answering everyones calls or do you want them to be in the shop WORKING??? Ive been up there many a times and i have always seen them workin... the shop is FULL prolly couldnt get a metro in there. Give the shop a chance they will come through for ya in the end.

That is so true. We work bout 15-16 hours MON-SUN most of the time till we cant work anymore. We are now having to restructure alot of our pricing for work just cuz were so damn tired already. We could add more guys, room, equiptment but will that help us to feed our families with less hours. or will it just add more headaches?

the point is they are giving done dates and never working on them and getting done.... don't give a timeline if you can't keep it... if you tell someone a month a year is a bit too long.. get the idea?

Thank you b12yan, thats what we are trying to say. I never called all the time, maybe once or twice a month when I first took my trucks up there. But as time went by and never got any feed back, yeah I started calling(never got an answer or messages returned)more. When someone is told they can expect there truck at this time and then a year later nothing has changed, what would any of you do. I tried to pull my trucks but they are so tore apart that their was no way I could get them on my trailor. And no I don't have the skills to do what I want to have done to my trucks but thats why I took them to kustomwerks. I just didn't think I would go this long waiting.
