so finally got around to bagging the front of my suburban, lay it out and this is what happens.

i had a bad feeling bout the rims cause when i bought them online the shop had to modify the center caps to fit cause of the grease cap on front of burb is too big. i told them it was going on a bagged ride and its obviously the wrong offset. now i'm gonna have to pay to get these machined. the seller doesnt seem to want to help me out even though they knew what they were selling. if they dont help i'll tell who i got them for and by all means dont give them business.

um, welcome to the world of "measure twice, cut once".

a well known problem with air rides and body drop is tire/wheel clearnce.

Unforunately i wouldn't blame the seller.

There's lots of resources out there that you could have asked as to what the proper offset would be before you ordered.

that sucks but you should've been able to just look at the wheels and know they wouldn't tuck. Don't blame the seller for that

this is why every place that sells wheels says TEST them BEFORE mounting tires.

you cant blame them now.....its your own fault for not checking them

You should have known better than to order wheels online. Was saving a dollar or two worth it?

sorry, but its your fault for not checking

hmmm well not exactly what i was looking for but umm thanks. just a bit of background, i've never had an issue with wheels clearence on my other bagged truck nor any other truck we worked on. guess the wheels i bought from those company knew what they were doing.

also the wheels were test fitted before mounting, but with a huge stock gap it looks like it would work. so tires were mounted. i had bad feelings about this from get go as i mentioned the seller modified the center caps to fit. while this was happening i contact KMC and they told me it would fit due to center cap and wheels were not made for the vehicle. i brought this to attention to seller before recieving wheels and was told they would tuck. so i took it for granted they knew what they were talking about. i guess it is my fault for thinking others know what they're doing, but thats why you pay for their services right? i find it hard to understand i'm at fault when i was told they'd fit. besides that what was going to happen? even if they didnt fit at all seller is not gonna take wheels back nd pay for shipping etc. if you cant trust the person you're buying from to know they're product what else is there to do?

i had this happen after putting on some drop spindles once.get smaller tires and when it goes lower the wheel will camber in enough to clear.if you have to,add some camber shims too.
