Damn this is a lot of fuss. When my truck was just bagged on 20's (245/35 tires) and DJM arms, I layed engine crossmember but even with djm arms, I had to notch the frame hella to get more radius out of the lower control arms before it would really "sit on the crossmember". As for the tie rods, I tried not notching for them and yes some of you are right, it will slightly bend them, but you know what, its not a good feeling rolling down the express way doing 80 and the damn rod breaks in half. And being the dumbass I was, I put a new one in and guess what, six months later it happened again. I know I was running 20's and it may be different with 18's, but please check if it needs to be notched. Mine was always far away when it was layed out, but if the truck leaned to one side, it would bend the shit out of them. I am not starting any shit, just giving some first hand advice.
