Hey max.... How about using a Jacobs Ladder to locate the axle fore and aft? That would almost locate the axle in a straight line up and down similar to a 50/50 system... only downfall is that it would have characteristics of a 2 link... poor articulation.

It is a rough drawing, but it should make a little more sence. Also AirRideTalk has some really good info on the subject.

SYSTEM IN THE REAR AND THIS HAS JUST THROWED ME FOR A LOOP LOL MAKING MY BRAIN HURT IM GOING TO FIGURE IT OUT

The triangulated 4-link can not be seen from the view that the instant center is calculated, so yes, it is a concern. I've post this pics a few times, maybe now it will make a little more sence now.

Good call, either that or 4 watts links.

Just had to post this pic of my shop cat, it makes me laugh every time. She is drinking the mist coming from the hose.

yes, and a quick explaination, if your trans angle is -3, your "zero" angle would be +3 at the pinion. But zero angles eat up u joints, so you give it a bit of down angle. How much? If your rear suspension is pliable, like leafs, go with 6 degrees down from zero angle (you would end up with -3, since the zero is +3 and add (-6) would be (-3)) to counteract the twist of acceleration from zeroing the pinion angle. For a link bar system, that is pretty rigid, you can go with -3 down angle which would give you 0 at the diff with a (-3) at the trans.
