built to drag

it all depends on how you look at it. i recently took a truck on a trade and being the minitrucker i am had to redo every inch if the fuckin thing to my standards. redos are harder than starting from scratch. but who get s the credit the kid that hacked it up or the veterin that took the time to perfect it? it happens all the time. people calling people out on shit. half the trucks these days are hacked to no end.
another thing that gets me is all the bashing about buying a truck done is the people who are doing it. the same guy talking shit down the road trys to sell his project truck or finished truck but cant. why? because he dug his own grave, talked shit and put the buyers down for years. so in the end he ruined the market he is selling to.
ernie is 100 percent correct hot rodders and muscle car guys would never say shit to some one about buying a finished vehicle.
its the new generation of minitruckers that are jerk offs and have no respect for a scene they didnt even create.
i ve been building trucks for my self and customers since 1996 and in the last few years i have seen it all go down hill.
i have redone so many hacked up trucks that makes every one look bad. it one thing to do something and have knowledge and do things right. it s another to buy a welder at homodepot and destroy and truck or even worse get killed because you are clueless.
i have seen broken notches, bag mounts, four links ripped right off, twisted frames, stock floors half welded, rims rewelded in multiple spots, i can go on and on.
im not in any way saying you shouldnt build your truck your self, but i am saying is think about your future and how safe your truck really is?
what i dont agree with is rich boys that pay to get a truck built and sink 40k in a mini, join a nation wide club and bad mouth the shit out of every one whos doenst have a perfect truck like they do , or is nt in their truck club. daddy also funded them to start a buisness and their own forum to bash even more. who needs people like this? def not our scene.
we are all intitled to our opinions, but i can say that when i read that article i saw where he was coming from.
