yes i have a honda but all my friends are mini truckers. i have spent countless hours with my friends in my garage and in theirs building are shit. but also we have payed people 2 do shit. i cant paint so i payed 2 have it and now im good friends with the painter so since i made a friend for life do i get talked about. in the end who cares if you buy a builted ride as long as your havin fun and enjoyin what this shit is really about

My quick $0.02.

After buying a brand new '03 Harley F150, and spending the last 3 years completely doing everything to it, its safe to say that although its been a love hate project, my next time around i'll buy something already done to my liking and love it just as much.

Let someone else take the hit on selling a custom truck for a change. Buying brand new and dumping tons of coin is not the route I will take any longer.

So say what you will, but that doesnt change the fact I still love the scence and all its about.. fullsize or mini, bought or built, makes no difference.

BUILT NOT BOUGHT ---- KILLED RESALE OF TRUCKS PERIOD .... ----- I KNOW YOU CANT GET INTO THE SCENE FOR A PROFIT BUT DROP A GOOD CHUNCK OF CHANGE INTO A RIDE AND BE LUCKY TO GET 25% OF IT BACK ---- ITS SO MUCH CHEAPER TO BUY A TRUCK ALLREADY DONE - THEN TO BUILD ONE FROM SCRATCH --- IF SOMEONE WHERE TO BUY MY TRUCK AND WANT TO TAKE FULL CREDIT FOR IT IN A MAG OR SOMETHING -- GO FOR IT - I COULD CARE LESS - I WOULD KNOW THE TRUTH ....... AND THATS ALL THAT WOULD MATTER ...

i bought my truck bagged and bodydropped. i've changed many things on it myself. but i will always tell people in the scene who did the INITIAL bag work, and who did the bodydrop.

the main reason i bought something that was this far along is so it wouldnt take me 5 years to build something and possibly lose interest in the scene. and just by me being a minitrucker and having a truck to explain what it is, i have influenced many people to join to mini scene.

i really hate this built not bought thing. who cares what it is its still keeping the mini truck sean going. if u buy a truck just give credit to who built it.

....encourage the next gen of people, embrace the young guys............John Zigler wrote this as well and it's the key to this scene! Overlooked by most because you want to argue the "built not bought" crap! inspire the youth....involve your kids or the neighborhood kids or a kid you see readin a truck 'zine in the store.

I am really surprised of the mentality of some people I for one do my own work becasue I choose to. Do I care if you buy your truck or build it no but I do care if I buy mine or build it. In my opinion if you buy a truck done you will have way less respect FOR THE TRUCK who cares about other people I care about my truck if I had bought it done I wouldn't care because my hands didn't build it its just another truck to drive for a while and sell where as my truck not being anywhere near done will be with me till I give it to my kid which I haven't even had yet you can't put a price tag on your dream only on your costs I don't care if I can sell my truck for what I got in it becasue I spent that for one reason I LOVE MY TRUCK and I love to work on my truck so i see where it can get misconstroud that built no bought means I'm hating on anyone who bought there ride but its not that its a pride thing I am proud I built my truck and want people to know when they say hey thats a nice truck who did the work that I can say I DID if you want to buy a built truck go for it lets go drag some shit I don't have anything bad to say about it but don't hate on me because I am proud that I built mine that all Built not Bought is a way to say I did this noone else just me.

I bought my mini show ready, fully built. It was built by Carlos of Pharcyde Customs. But a few months after buying it I went out and shaved the spoiler and license plate box. Then a little bit later noticed alot of defects in the paint including it chipping off so I sanded the whole thing and primered it. Ever since I have gutted the interior and have been completely rebuilding the suspension. In the beginning everyone told me I bought a TV dinner. But hey, I saw it as a blank canvas to make as my own. Everyone has their own views on the matter but Ernie def made a strong point. Just because it's bought built or half way built or whatever it's still yours wether you do what I do and rebuild it to you own, or keep it the way it was bought, or just change the wheels. It's still yours. And who gives a flying F*ck if it's taken to a shop to get done. I took my mini to a buddy of mine to get shaved. And have taken it to Kevin of Just Plain Trick with wiring issues and to weld blocks on. I learn more as I read on here and in our bible (Mini Truckin). Anyway just wanted to put out there hell F*CKIN yeah to Ernie and to share my thoughts on it.
