Key Word...FUN. I do what I do because I love it and its FUN. I go to shows because its FUN. I'm burned out on the hatin and I'm better than you and your truck is stupid BS. I would love to see people helping eachother out instead of pushing eachother down. When I first got on this site it was all about help sharing knowledge...can we get back to that?

I am perplexed why people think just the MiniTruckin community has hate. I remember reading Street Rodder and the venting they did. Ever hit some other boards they have their issues. If everyone where to agree on everything that would remove the fun and variety.P.S. I hope this thread can stay clean or it will have to be moved to the brawl room.

Every genre of customs has its a-holes. Thats all there is too it. The thing I notice though, is people here seem to take things too literally. On other boards, people poke fun, and it gets brushed off. Here, people get offensive, and it turns into a 10 page thread. Its ridiculous really. But I don't see it changing.

(im obsessed with 79-83 toys so i always drooled over your truck!) so seth, i guess you were literally an influence on me getting back into the sport! i guess a thanks is in order! so....thanks!

Quit being little girlsNope there aint nothing on my profile. Some of you know me, most of you know the trucks I have built.I am from the old school. I built my first mini in 93 when most of you were still pissing in your panties.Get over yourselves.stop calling everyone a hater when they dont like what you have.I love auto sports of all kinds. My son is being raised around cars, not minis or hotrods or lowriders or rice rockets, or anything else, just custom fuxking automobiles.I hope he gets half the joy out of it as I did.His grandpa (my dad) dragged a 68 goat (if you have to ask get out of the sport) in 1969. He met his grandma (my mom) that way.

Stop Quoting Wyatt Earp or Strange or whoever.

DO YOU!!! Thats what it has been about since day one!

I dont think most of you guys get it. Who the fuck cares who built your built your 5 lug conversion. Tell ya what I build cars that make covers, layinrockers builds every hub and plainjane comes up with all my ideas lucky brew puts them together. makes me cool.

Why do the guys in Cali care what someone in Indiana says? Why do you care whether someone likes what you built?why do you care what someone says they helped with whether they did it or not? Is someone really gonna say, "damn I was about to take my truck to plain jane but someone else did his 5 lug conversion"(whether they did or not)? You wonder why other members of this sport dont respect you, not mini-truckin but auto sports altogether, this is why!!!!

Trust me I have been on both sides of the fence!!!!!

PlaneJane is a theme truck I have shown it to people in the hotrod & chopper world who would otherwise laugh at minitruckin and they have said man thats cool!and it isbut its a OCC "style" theme truck and there is nothing wrong with that, it is COOL AS HELL!!

Get it together guys, if this is your passion then show us what you got and dont worry about what other people say!

I remember when Loco64 starting touring the hotrod circuit, it was the best intergration ever.50 y/o with hotrod guys said "damn these guys got it going on" and a whole new world opened. You are not a lifestyle, you are a hobby! You are not a family you are friends with common interests. As a matter of fact, at least one of you was inspired by my first truck so which one of you (family members) will pay my $2700 house payment this month?

When I started there was no internet, just guys/ladies who built rides and we loved every day of it. We would roll into Tumbleweed restaurants cruise night 40 deep (40 ford behind an 82 cutlass behind an 90 S-10) and have fun. Average Joe doesnt know the difference, they just see something cool. And we loved every minute.

Quit being sheep and following the flock. We started by people wanting to express themselves and doing there own thing.

I havent seen much original in a long time. This doesnt meen there isnt lots of nice trucks just not much originality. Plain Jane was something original, not copied!Plain Janes owner really pulled a bitch move with his thread. He had a chance and blew it. Someone (not me) will be next, will you blow it?DO YOU!!!! We all have a creative bone, flex it!

This doesnt make much sense but I dont know what else to say. I go to LRM events, hotrod events, minitruck shows, NOPI, you name it,anything with a motor and I have never seen so many guys trying to act cool acting like sissies in my life.

Remember, the whole point to a custom auto is to express yourself, not to impress others, not to drag for others, not to outdo others.

EDIT:Remember, until I find a publisher, there is no handbook for building a custom ride

I guess i'll join in here a little. I'm 26 years old, I'm in the Army, I have a mini and a wife. I drive a tank. I work 60+ hours a week and then try to work on my truck. But with all this, I still dont whine and bitch about others or hatin on everyones style or whatever...Take a look around. Why did you start building a truck? Do you seriously stop to everyone with a fartcan or a wing and bitch them out for not being up to your standards? Hell step back and just realize that we all have made some HUGE MISTAKES on our builds and realize we all start somewhere....

Yeah it was a bunch of rambling on..But i got it out now....I look like a bitch..but its out there.....

jiggawho111>>>> a-fukin-men! i guess i was trying to make that exact point but went about it totally the wrong way! i live breath and eat everything with wheels. i even (ashamed to admit) have a copy of donk magazine. why? because i love cars and i had to see what all the hype was about. there are a lot of time money and effort in those cars even though 95% of us (only an assumption!) on this site dont like them. ive got boxes and boxes of magazines, toys and books on cars, trucks, trains, etc! you know its a real passion when you like it ALL! i also go to every show from lrm, to nop, goodguys, rat rod runs, etc! my son (13)loves mins and my daughter (5) loves flamed out loud hot rods. ive got a little boy on the way - hell, he may hate cars and like books! doesnt matter he will do what he loves as we will! i think minitruckin went south when we do or did what the other guy likes or dislikes. its not about that! its about art! its a sport - an art! and we all should embrace it and appreciate it! i am spending a fortune to static drop my mini. no bags no body drops! why? cause its not a bangwagon vehicle! its mine and i drive it! key word i! but where you guys fall into play is that you should respect it! this in turns creates we! we all should enjoy it and have fun with it! i assked a guy one time whoi built his mini and he said me- i did it! all me! then i asked how he learned to do that and he said books and his uncle! thats not i - thats not me! thats still an us or we!
