honestly, I dont care enough about peoples opinions of my truck to get all butt hurt about it. I like most of my truck and thats all that matters. The things I am changing are because I dont like them, not because others dont like it. Im gonna rock that flame job until the paint is shit, then im gonna put a different flame job on it.

im building an 83 toyota. going to static drop it. well, an extreme static drop! im tired of hearing the "i drag" bullshit. going to z the front clip, new x members, spindles, coilovers, 4link, rear coilovers too. its going to be low as fuck with no option to raise it up! it will drag because its low as hell not cause i can deflate it or hook up the drag bars! now thats a statement off the beaten path of most shit being built! plus its only going to rock 17" so i can have turn radius and also rock all the factory chtome on a solid color! now that aint like shit being built today!!!! =)

just my humble opinion but FU*K the sport! all of you can have the sport of this. sports are supposed to be fun this shit with every dumbass in his grandmas S10 is old and played out. The sport of minitruck died a long time ago i don't know when but it's long gone, and with the dumbasses now it will prolly never be back either. just like country music quit being good when johnny Cash quit taking pills. (I guess that analogy fits). but seriously... i didn't like plane jane overall, but what i did like was that it was different, it was like a red m&m in a bag full of brown ones. So in a sport thats full of cool guys of the month, idiots on video and a bolt on back half, thats rite folks you can now own a bagged truck and not even have to own a welding machine, only thing you need is a rich daddy! wich half the poeple on here have. congratulations on your sport. well I am 34 and been in the scene since 91, the only real differance I see is that I am old and grumpy and dont have time for the "hate" anymore, but it was there in 91, its like anything the older guys have a tough time relating to the younger guys, thats just the way it goes, we have grown up but we acted like jack asses and talked shit back in the early 90's, but none of it will change my passion for building mini trucks, I have never once stopped building mini trucks, sure I dont go to shows much anymore, but I still have 2 body dropped mazdas in the garage, a body dropped isuzu hangin out in granmas yard and a daily driver s-10 that gettin bagged and stock floored, I could careless what anyone thinks of any of my trucks, they are for me, who cares what some jack ass thinks on a forum, the big differance between now and then is there is a internet where everyone can speak there mind from all over, same shit would have happenend in the 90's, I guess thats it I am old and already forgot what i just typed I am gonna go listen to a record or something

My name is Gary and I am an Autoholic! I am 35 and have been active in building, racing, and showing since 87. Yes lots has changed but that is what life is change. Difference in many of us is who accepts change for the common good and who uses it as an excuse.

I only build for myself. I don't care about trophies, features, or anyones opinion. I simply enjoy cars/trucks of any kind. I can tell you this though. When you make your hobby your job, it takes the fun out of it for you young guys. I say enjoy what you are doing, how you are doing it, and don't worry about anyone else. There is no right or wrong in custom, only artistic interpretation of an individual.

If we all liked the same thing and foolowed one another we would all still be riding horses pulling covered wagons and reading by lantern. What makes us different is that we WANT to be different. This hobby is seperated by individualism and that is what makes it great!
