Every genre of customs has its a-holes. Thats all there is too it. The thing I notice though, is people here seem to take things too literally. On other boards, people poke fun, and it gets brushed off. Here, people get offensive, and it turns into a 10 page thread. Its ridiculous really. But I don't see it changing.
It isn't just the scene. It is people in general.
You hear people talking about the street rodders and the fact that they don't talk shit and they all get along. That is because the general age of them is 40's and older. These are the generations that were all about "Respect thy fellow man" and practice it with everything. If they have nothing to say they usually don't say anything. And unfortunately the younger generations don't seem to have a grasp on that. It is all about "personal pride" 90% of the 40 and younger generations believe their shit doesn't stink, And if someone else's shit smells a little better they have to be attacked.
We all need to learn respect and use it.
You've never been to a goodguys trophy ceremony or similar have you? Talk about a pissing match if it's not a perfect outcome for all 3 parties. Typically, someone bitches, their can't be 3 1st places. This "old people show more respect" is garbage, I've seen old dudes fist fight over shit. As said before, ALL GENRES of the car scene have their assholes and people wanting to ruin shit just for the sake of doing it.
Everyone acts like minitruckin is the devil of custom rides, but were turning out some of the most unique shit people have seen to date, and loving every minute. 200 people talking shit on the internet is a SMALL fraction of those who show up to shows. You won't ever even meet the people talking shit about you, so what the hell do you care what they think, regardless of if it is positive or negetive.
