nope, just the crossmember hacked up (and held on by 1 bolt and a spot weld on the driver's side), i was asking if it'd work with the newer style upper arms. I know it's supposed to be used with ART arms, but since mine are'nt stock, can i just use what i have?

i dont think you will be able to use the old upper arms. The drop member has stock upper mounts that uses cross shafts plus the track get narrowed and the center of the wheel is moved forward.

You can use the stock control arms for your year sub but not the new ones.

yes you can use stock arms and or art arms or djm arms. Anything that fits a stock truck will fit. He also makes a corvette up grade. That uses stock corvette uppers and lowers hubs and brakes.

so i can't use the arms that are on there, i'd have to redo the mounts and everything? Or the upper arm mounts attached to the crossmember? By the way, sorry for hijacking your thread, Taylor. I in no way intended to do this.

You'll need to use the 73-87 uppers I'm sure, Nathan may jump in here and tell you different, but your best bet is to go to the Porterbuilt website and look at what the Dropmember is all about. You can go to 67-72chevytrucks.com too, there are lots of threads about the Dropmember.

The Dropmember comes with new upper control arm mounts that are designed to be used with ART (Air Ride Technologies) upper arms... however, factory uppers workjust fine. The late model arms you're running won't work with the geometry of the Dropmember.

so i'd be cool with a crossmember and getting ART upper and lower arms? The upper mounts are on the crossmember? So i'd just have to cut off the mounts on there now, slap the new crossmember in with some ART uppers and lowers and i'd be good to go?

You can get the stock uppers from a junk yard cheap.
