I think it all depends on the situation....I know there's been several times I felt I did way more work that what I got paid for. Not because I miss qouted, but because it's hard for me to let the little things slip by unfixed. In situations were someone goes above and beyond what you paid them for, I don't see anything wrong with throwing them a little extra dough just to let them know you appreciate it. Specially if you got the dough. Trust me, the better customer you are, the better you get treated, atleast at my shop. I've had customers not want to pay extra for the part I had to buy unexpectedly, yet go out and spend cash likes it nothing on other shit, instead of taking care of me. No hard feelings on the deal, but I won't be taking such good care of them the next time they want me to hook them up. But then again, the average waiter probably makes more money that I do at my shop.
