I was in Canada getting ready to drive back home to Arizona...as soon as we heard they were closing the borders we booked it as fast as we could! We were probably one of the last people allowed through the border and listened to talk radio the entire drive home. We were just in shock the entire drive....

I was sitting at home getting ready to go to work at Auto Zone. I go grab my shoes and sit down on the couch to watch the news before I go in and as I was turning the TV on I saw the 2nd plane crash into it. That was definately the most awkward feeling I have ever experienced. I remember painting USA and a big flag on the windows outside. All the customers were pissed off and scared at the same time. I remember an arabian guy coming into the store and it was like time stopped....EVERYBODY in the store stopped what they were doing and stared at him. One of my cowowker's brothers was in the 1st tower that was hit.

It was definately a sad day in the history of the USA. Thoughts and prayers continue to go out to the families that lost someone in NYC, as well as overseas fighting for our freedom.

When the first one hit, I was parallel with the towers, on the NJ Turnpike. Everyone was thinking it was some kind of accident. I crossed over the George Washington Bridge into the city and saw the smoke. I was heading north to CT for a client when the 2nd one hit. At that point we were told to turn around and come back to NJ, but they had already shut the city down so I had to drive through upstate NY to get back to the office. Monster.com was a client on the 62nd floor, dunno if anyone from that office died or not.

I was in my first year of college at Mohawk. I went to my truck to grab my lunch before heading to the bar. I got to my truck, turned on the radio, and the morning show with Humble and Fred was still on (at 11:30 ish). I didn't beleive them, so I switched to another station, and howard stern was still on, talking about it. I started to walk across the parking to a group of classmates, who where walking from there vehicles too. Everyone was dazed, and looked like zombies. On the way back thru the campus, everyone was crowded around tv's and freaking out. When we got to class, they sent us home........ damn I can't remember what I did yesterday, but I remember that day perfectly clear...
