I do have the airarms, the stock brake hose is bolted on in the middle of the factory upper arm and needs to be reattached so it doesnt catch on something, I'll try to post a picture so you can see what I mean. Originally posted by joemorrow

I bought a set of air arms for the 73-91 chevy 1-ton dually for about $800, when I got them there were no cross shafts. Can I use my old ones? Nope! Now I have to go buy 1/2 ton cross shafts to fit my supposed 1-ton arms. $200 later from napa I finally get to install them. I specifically asked when I bought them if a slam re-8 will fit. Did it? Nope! they had to send me 1inch spacers so they didnt rub the sides of the lower arms, and I really dont like how the bushing fits. It only uses 3/4 of the bushing sleeve. However half way through my trip from maryland to phoenix (towing everything I own) the upper control arm bushings broke out, when I stopped in their store they did give me new bushings. Maybe look into describing parts better and let people know what else they are going to have to buy.

but wait- theres more, I almost forgot. There is no provision for a sway bar or the brake line tab. Ive modified them now to accept a sway bar and put a tab on to bolt the brake line to. would have been nice to have that done before they were powder coated.

Oops, I forgot to address the Swaybar and brake tab.We put swaybar mounts on normal Carms, but NOT on Airarms. If you put a sway bar on Airarms, they bind up depending on travel/height. My information says that the brake tab is mounted on the frame, not the Carm. Makes sense because of the movement/travel of the Carm. If you do not have Airarms, then I apologize if you did not have the swaybar tabs.Thank you for the opportunity to respond,Joe Morrow

Around 2000 I was 17 and this was the first time I shaved door handles, I seen their ad in truckin and liked the deal on the kit so I ordered it, installed it and with in a day or two the "brain" quit working. So I call, and the custmer service rep was very rude to me, and told me it had to be installed wrong. After hours of calls, they finally said they would seen me another one, so that comes and agian after, oh a week, it quits. So again I call and finally get yet another one sent, but this time the brain didnt quit the solenoid burned up. So after having to call a lock smith 3 or 4 timeS and spending that cash I spent alot more than what a higher priced kit woud have cost me. Fast forward to 2004 my friend and I are going to bag a honda for a guy and we decide to order a AIM kit for it,the air cylinders leaked. Half of the fittings were wrong. valves didnt work right etc... I have wanted a few things from AIM like bumpers and some other things, but I have had bad experices both times I have used them. And I don't make enough money to just throw away.

whiteJones,I should inform you that our solenoids are the same ones used by AutoLoc, and we rarely have a problem with a brain, nevertheless, I would like to put that in the past and address leaking cylinders. These are also the same cylinders I have supplied to AVS for years. We do not have issues, and it seems to me that the sales staff fell short on resolving the core issues. If you want to have me make it right, then you have my email. joe@chassistech.com Thank you for your posting and giving me a chance to address your issues. Joe Morrow

This is Educational from Mat at the House of Hack...Joe, Thanks for the quick response... ill be looking forward to the new bags when they come out....in response to the "check valves" ... might be a misunderstanding what im asking.alot of people , including our shop dont just use Check valves for Compressors....granted a checkvalve on a compressor is a must... but we also use the check valves between the air tank and Valves . due to the fact most Valves run off of pressure, so when the air psi is low in the air tank , the air wont backflow from the bags into the valves and into the low tank causing the ride to loose height... so what we do is run check valves (perfer 3/8 or 1/2) before each fill valve (usually 4 of them) to eleminate the backflow or pressure lost ...thats why i ask and also alot of people want the bigger check valves.... hope that help some.....thanks for your time Joe!!

Mat, Thank you. This is the first I have ever been aware of backflow from the valves into the tank. I will order 3/8" and 1/2" CheckValves. The cost will be much lower than what you are paying now (under $7) 2-position valves apparently use tank pressure to keep them closed.and

thanks Joe, dont get me wrong... not all valves has this problem.. but its a good habit to run them(checkvalves) , cuts down on problems....

ill be looking forward to see your stock of checkvalves....

on another note... as far as runing / posting pictures up on SSM. i find it easier (for myself) to goto Photobucket.com , its free.. and up load pics on there, then after its uploaded, it will give you like 4 codes to copy and paste for dif things... you'll want the html code ....

Joe,

I had your AIM 7" Touchscreen guages/switches installed on my '03 Silverado. I bought that thing when it just came out, but had nothing but problems with it. The PSI senders were junk and fell apart, had to replace a few of them. The screen itself is cool, but you had no control over it. I see it might work fine with a 1/4" system (I think that might be listed on your site now, but at the time it wasn't). I had it on a full 1/2" system with 150+psi going through it, and if I hit up it would go all the way from layed out to all the way up in the air, no adjusting or inbetween settings. Same with down, and it would dump it fast. So I had to install some additional switches in order to get some control out of my system. I also think it could of killed me or my truck since it has some PSI alerts built into it. Every once in awhile I would look down and all the guages would read "000" and the screen would start flickering and beeping. If that ever happened I immediately turned it off, if I didn't it would start randomly hitting switches. Yes I said randomly, like driving 70mph down the highway and this touchscreen controller would start lifting and dumping my truck scaring the shit out of me and anyone else riding with me. I can't remember how much I paid for this thing, but it was not cheap, and I completely regret buying it since all's it brought me was trouble, and could of killed me.

Neal,I certainly understand, and yes, there was a problem with the digital senders that we just became aware of in May. I did not realize until reading your posting that the STIC used the same sender. If senders will help, I will send them to you. I am asking Ryan Davies, our Chief engineer to also add his comments. He should be answering you in the next 4 hours. Thank you and I am thankful for the opportunity to hear first hand.Joe Morrow.. Advise me on the senders please. joe@chassistech.com

Joe I think you may have missed my issue.

Joe, a few years back I ordered a set of drop spindles for my previous '95 S-10. I rec'd a set of lowering coils for the same year Dakota. I called to get it straightened out and I was told that I would have to pay a restocking fee (which was outrageous). The rep on the other end was very rude and uncaring about a situation that I did not create. I was not rude, angry or sarcastic. I was very calm with the rep. I provoked nothing. In the end I was told I would have to pay shipping back for the item, the restocking fee and shipping to have my already ordered and should have been shipped spindles. In the end I was so dissatisfied with the service I ordered a 2nd set of spindles via Stylin' Concepts (DJM units) and used them, which are on my current '01 Sonoma.

Joe, My buddy purchased a rat top convertible this spring. He asked about the advertised price of $359. He was told that the price is $399, and if he didn't want to pay that price, they would cmcel his order. He asked why they didn't honor the advertised price. He was told by Chris that that price was for square body S10's. He then went to the ewbsite, sveral to be exact, and the price across the board was $399. Now, why not honor your advertised price?

Again I am happy to have this communication because it gives me a chance to explain. The tops went up to $399, but the print ads were not changed. Chris is plain WRONG! Chris should have followed company policy and offered you the price adjustment, then Chris should have contacted me to advise me of the error. I am copying chris with this posting and advise him if he screws me around by not being helpful and advising me of the conflict, that he can look for another job. I am serious about this and embarrassed by the actions of Chris. the top will be $359 to you and I will change the print ads to be in synch with the website in about 30 seconds from now. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, Joe Morrow

And I forgot, send me an email with the name/address/phone ordered under and I will send the $40 refund and take it out of Chris's commission (not his regular paycheck) Send me info to joe@chassistech.com

Pat, I will review my shipping costs within 24hrs. Where I find errors or prices that are simply too high, I will change them. You may view the changes within 24hrs. Thank you for your input, Joe MorrowHow did I get brought into this. I haven't even posted on this subject. What are you responding to. I've been buying from you for 18 years now with no problems that you haven't resolved. I used to stock all your body kits and Radical tops 10 and a time. You were the first one to make any of this stuff for a mini let alone at a good price. The bags on the Ram I'm building came from you. I have absolutely no complaints.

Pat, you are obviously much more mature than a 5th Grader! I am absolutely blown away by your Ram. Would you let me use the pictures? If so, pls email to joe@chassistech.com

Thanks again, you make me feel like I have done something right in the past 22 years. Take care and THANKS! Joe Morrow
