I heard a story once from a current AIM employee...

"they used his brand new truck/car as a ginny-pig for a new product, then didnt even give him a free kit for letting them tear down his ride for a week" ...Joe made him pay for it... even after it screwed up his ride....?

FEAR THE AZ VACATION,
hahaaa I'd say no thanks. those Vacations end up costing alot.

Why do you have so many vague pictures on the website? I understand that it is alot of work to upload a picture of every single item you sell...but that's the type of pride-in-product I look for. Even though it's a tremendous hassle to log & chronicle every single part, I feel it would also take alot of stress off of your phone people simply because of the amount of calls they would no longer have to deal with from potential consumers asking about what it looks like & so on.

About these Spring Buckets that you offer as an option against upper cups, how do you reach the top bolts, fittings & airline?

On the Images.. Yes, you are correct. We work on them every single day and it is an overwhelming task. It just got out of hand.

SPRING BUCKETS. In the instructions, it requires enlargement of the top shock hole to make the connections.

Thanks for your post

wow that has to be the most fake review i have ever read! i was the one that was told to copy those arms off of suicidedoors.com and there are very simple mistakes that anyone that knows how to read a tape wouldn't make. it just seems convenient that, that review was so ONE SIDED.waste of time to even read

i bought a 4/5 chassis tech drop for my 2000 ranger in 2003 the ad stated that the kit included upper and lower arms. when i recieved it the uppers were missing when i called to resolve the issue i was told they don't come with uppers. they ran that same ad for the next year or two. on the flip side i am still running the lowers on my truck and have no problems with them. now if i would have known the uppers were not included i would have bought djm instead. thank you for your time concerning this matter.

Ok Joe,

I bought a set of your arms for one of my S10's close to 9 years ago. They're still on there going strong (sold it to a friend and I see it almost every day). The only problem I had with them was the "A" part of the upper arm (which I see you don't even have on your most recent arms) was hitting the frame and eventually broke. I removed the same piece from the other arm & left them that way.

I do have some questions about your newest version of a-arms.

First, is the balljoint installed properly on the "reviews for aim" site? If so, why are they beneath the plate vs. every other arm I've seen that bolts them through the plate?

Second, what exactly was your solution to keep the cross shaft end bolts from coming loose from articulation?

Third, can the arms be used with OEM cross shafts with no modifications? If so, can they be purchased without the cross shafts you offer? The "reviews for aim" site reads they clean up the look of the engine bay but, personally, I would much rather use the Moog cross shaft because of the way they are designed now. There is no need for shims if you mount them with the wheel side towards the engine As you can see in the pics on the reviews site, the shims really kill the aesthetics.

Here's a pic of my current S10 frame,

Fourth, "reviews for aim" states you sell these arms for $699 but the latest add I saw for AIM states arms (complete), spindles, bags, shocks, shock brackets & spring buckets for $699...which information is most accurate?

Sorry to occupy so much of your time...I have a laundry list of questions I've always wanted to ask you. I even called once but didn't get very far. No worries, I can vent my quandaries here. Thanks.

I followed AIM's instructions, on how the the ball joint is mounted. the balljoint will not install from the top becuse of the rubber boot.

Yes you can use ur stock cross shaft but will neet to remove it, its a pain but can be done. you will need new bushings tho, also do not know if they offer without the cross shaft or not.

If you ask me the billet cross shaft that comes with the AIM's arms look better then the moog ones your running. also have you has your alignment done? how is your chamber? and caster? i have not had mine done since installing, so some shims may need to be removed.

I went by the price on there website. Havnt seen the new ad's

Even on a stock S10 control arm, the balljoint drops through the top & the boot mates up to it from the bottom. I agree, your cross shafts look better than my Moog shaft...but the huge stack of shims you have in there are negated by the design of the new Moog shaft which, in turn, looks more appealing simply because of its simplicity. Besides, I can smooth & paint mine for a more aesthetic draw.

I wouldn't even suggest removing used cross shafts from OEM arms. They are inexpensive enough to purchase new as it is and I'm sure the OEM bushings won't work in the tube-type end link the uppers have.

My truck has been aligned.
