Well I dont post on hear hardly ever , but have been a member for about 6 years. One of my customers/good friends bought a bolt on road grater thing that you sell for a 1997 nissan hardbody. He brought it to me to install and I laughed at him and the kit. A nissan does not have bolts on the backside of the rear end. So we called your customer service dept. and told them the situation and they said some one must have changed the rear end. When I told them no all nissans were like that, They said I must not know what I'm talking about. They told me we could return it but it would be a 35% restocking fee, And we had to pay shipping. It would have cost my customer almost 400 to return your poorly designed product. So I cut apart the kit and made use of what I could so the guy would not be completly screwed out of the money. So with this being said what is you reasoning for selling bolt on kits for trucks that do not have a bolt on rear cover. Also your tech team told me they could not help because they really never installed one. Thanks for trying to clear your name. This is only one experience of the numerous ones I have had.

i ordered a set of spindles and a set of lower control arms for my 72 chevy pickup i found them cheaper from another vendor however it was going to take them a month to get them to me so i ordered them from AIM because you guaranteed me i'd have them in 2 weeks. so 2 weeks go by and i haven't got them so i call and the guy says that he never said i'd have them in 2 weeks he had said they'd be shipped in a couple weeks and i should have them any day. 2 more weeks go by and still no parts i call and guess what? he never said they would be shipped in 2 weeks its just usually about how long it takes and they should ship out by next friday. 3 weeks later still nothing i call and they are in the mail this time. 3 weeks later and they will be shipped any day another couple weeks and they got lost in the mail. anyway 3 and a half months later i get my parts and i get half a lower control arm because i need to put the shafts out of my 82 and up lower control arms into them to make them work. of course i have a 72 not an 82 and up so now i have to spend an extra 100 bucks to get some useable parts. and the spindles come with some instructions but they said nothing of having to switch the tie rods to 82 and up so i i damn near ruin the spindles and kill myself trying to make them work. how could you trust a company again when they do something like that? you cant unless you are stupid.

bgp1mpinAnd that is EXACTLY why I make my self available. I do not think an owner of any other company our size would make himself available to personally address these issues. I will give you a $100 product credit to use as you choose should you ever allow me an opportunity to do business with you again. all you have to do is email me directly. However, I will point out that line #2 on your sales order does address the issue of changing out your tierods. No one that I know of makes a spindle for the old drum brakes that does not require an upgrade to 73up Tierods. I am truly sorry for your problems. Thank you for your posting, Joe Morrow

First off, I promise I'm not writing this to hate but was concerned. I am wondering what gave you a change of heart to want to improve your relationship with us minitruckers. Awhile back you were writing emails to Kris about taking him to court and now you are all about doing the right thing by trying to resolve each and everyones situation. I have never bought anything from you so I really cant comment about your products. i apoligize if this comes accross as being hate but I felt it had to be asked. Like someone posted, how are we to trust you.

Back in 2006 I bought a set of drop coil overs for my girlfriends Dodge Dakota. When I received the parts I noticed that the shock body was larger then the stock shock body. (aims 13in/stock 10in)When I called customer service they told me that this was correct and try to install them. This is what I did. When we installed them it did lower the truck by 1 inch but it was a solid rod there was no travel what so ever. I call customer service back up and they told me that I was installing them wrong. I tryed everything to get these to work but no luck. I called back to see if I could ship them back and get a refund, I was told no. This ment that my girlfriend was not able to get into the truck by herself.(my girlfriend is a Parapalegic) So we did the only thing we could do we went and traded it in on a magnum a car that she was able to get into at stock hight. All my girl wanted was to have a cool lower truck that she could be proud of. She is just like everyone else she just wants to have a cool ride. A handy cap van is not a cool ride. All I would like out of this is for me to ship them back and get a full refund on the parts. Thanks for making thing right Joe.

i read them they didn't say it i read it again later because another guy ordered a set (from someone else because i warned them) and their instructions did say it and it made me even angrier. i don't want your hundred dollars i want my summer i missed while my truck was torn down waiting on parts back. no cruisin to shows no cruisin to the carwash no nothing all summer because my parts were a couple weeks away so why put it back together? i was staight out lied to to make a sale!

kurt (krick)Kurt, you are 100% correct! There were 2 different rear-ends for the 97 and we did not know it.

The hardbody was available with 2 different rear-ends. The first more common one is sealed on the back side with a third member on the front side that you remove to access the diff. The other is just like your average american rear-end with a diff cover on the back side. We make both. We did not know this until you brought it to our attention. We offered to make the new one for you and I think at this point you did not want to deal with us. It was not poorly designed, but it was the WRONG one for your Nissan and we should have known that two different rearends were produced in that year. I am sorry.I will be happy to give you a credit should you consider giving me an opportunity to make it right.Thank you for your posting, it all helps, good or bad, and other members can learn just as we did. And I am not defending the salesperson, I do not think he took care of this properly and I APOLOGIZE to you.

I was nevered offered anything except to be charged 35% restocking fees. I have owned several nissans and never seen one made any other way. You sales team and tech team insisted that this was the only kit and there was no way possible aim was at fault.

Joe, i must pipe in here for a second. Some people do not want a "credit" on a future purchase. These guys want it made right in a way that does not require that they give you more money. It depends on the situation i know, but i would not say "sorry i didn't get your tshirt to you, i'll give you a discount next time you buy.. I would ship them the shirt i owe them. Just my $.02

Actually it was a very short time ago, and I apologized to Kris within 72hrs. I got riled up over "bashing". I decided to do something about it, and Kris gave me the opportunity to do so. (Thanks again Kris) I think it is better to trust someone that stands up and does not hide behind secretarys and his staff. So here I am... putting myself up to DIRECTLY resolve issues and answer questions such as yours and anyone else that will have a mature dialogue with me such as you have. I understand your statement, and if you did not see my original apology, I apologize again to you and any other member. I will absolutely retain a POSITIVE attitude about SSM and the members it serves. I will do what no other person in my position would do, and put myself directly on the line to assist anyone.Thank you for your posting,Joe Morrow
