Well Ice, I stand corrected. I've never seen that axle before, must have started in '97 then? My 4x4 '97 hb had the welded axle.

Jamie, Point made. Please ship them back, use RA#JM9-02 and you will receive a full refund. You MUST include a copy of this posting and put the RA@ clearly on the outside of the box.

Back in 2006 I bought a set of drop coil overs for my girlfriends Dodge Dakota. When I received the parts I noticed that the shock body was larger then the stock shock body. (aims 13in/stock 10in)When I called customer service they told me that this was correct and try to install them. This is what I did. When we installed them it did lower the truck by 1 inch but it was a solid rod there was no travel what so ever. I call customer service back up and they told me that I was installing them wrong. I tryed everything to get these to work but no luck. I called back to see if I could ship them back and get a refund, I was told no. Kurt, The facts are that there are two different rear end configurations. We found out the hard way, just as you pointed out. I have already admitted the error and I apologize for a 2nd time, and I have offered to compensate you in my previous posting.

I was nevered offered anything except to be charged 35% restocking fees. I have owned several nissans and never seen one made any other way. You sales team and tech team insisted that this was the only kit and there was no way possible aim was at fault.

just want to inform ya, Yes Joe is Right. there are 2 dif types of axles on Nissan Hardbody's....1997 had some like this one...that was one of several Nissans we worked on that had an axle like that...heres the link to rest of the truck..http://thehouseofhack.com/Briannissan.htmlheres a link of another nissan we did 1997 that had that same type of axle..http://thehouseofhack.com/Scotty.html

IceThank you Ice. We certainly did not expect 2 different axles, and Mitchell's Partspoint did not point this out to us either at the time. We operated in good faith, and it just happened and we regret the situation.

hey joe,a few years ago I bought some dakota control arms and they severely warped my bags and could have punctured them had I not caught it. Further they put my ball joints in a horrible bind. I still have the control arms and have went so far as to modify the upper mounting point, that they bolt to, but its still not working. The arms are in great condition as they have never seen road use and have been in a garage the entire time. Is there anything you can do to help me?

I havent had a problem with AIM. On my Mazda i got a 4-link, dual needle air gaiges, shaved door kit, and drop spindles. All that has been on my truck since 2003 and havent had any problems. I just ordered a new 4-link a few months back and it came with black powdercoated 4link ends. In the adds it says they come with chrome and my old one came with chrome. I emailed and I think it was Travis emailed me back and said he would ship the chrome ones out when they came in at no charge. He emailed me when they came in and had them a few days later. Thanks!!

a buddy of mine is having a problem and emailed joe. joe replied with some questions about the system and concerns why it might be happening and looked into the problem and my buddy is actually taking his car in so they can look at it and solve the prob with his air struts.
my self i have only had 1 error from aim it was a switch box that i bought from a company that bought from aim the company fixed it and life was good.

Wow im impressed, 99% great posts with good info and great help from Joe. I commend Joe for stepping up on this so far. Not many companies would do that. SO right or wrong in the past, right now your doing the right thing.
