not to sound all sappy, but when i look at a photo, its all about my immediate reaction, how does it make me feel, does it tell a story. this is usually not the case with automotive pictures. with automotive pics its all about compostion, lighting and so on in my opinion, i dont ever see show coverage that really blows me away, but i dont think its supposed to. for instance, im really into the stuff that the Surface do photography wise. most of the time they dont even get the whole car, because its not necessary. The section of the front wheel tells you all about that car, it defines it. they do great work. And you can tell that all of them are into the same school of thought on that. I dont think everybody can take a good picture, sometimes i think people get lucky, ive seen trained photographers suck and ive seen ammatures be amazing. For example. A friend of mine Danielle is in her forties and she didnt know dick about cameras or anything, but her husband gave her a camera for her b'day and she just started taking pics immediately. let me show you some of her shots: her self portraits Shes actually a hair dresser for a living, and is self thaught with the camera, i was actually had just met her when she started taking photos. She recently started using photoshop as well, thats how she added her name lol
