Edited: 9/16/2009 5:36:40 PM by drpd99 you da man dan! and i have subscriptions to all three and have a sport truck subscription since i was a teenager.  Hate to hear all of this though and especially that theres not even going to be atleast one farewell issue...and ive had a SSM subcription for quite some time also, which i had to just recently renew a week or two ago... on a side note good meeting you and trent at showdown this year Dan

We should come up with stickers that say "Support your local truck mag"  .  Just renewed my subscription to Truckin'   Anyone notice how the photography in the "other" mag lately has been poor quality?? I mean the baddest dually on the cover with a crappy pic... sucks.   People complain about advertisers, or too much advertising,  next time you get a Truckin mag and the other guys, total the amount of pages and the amount of advertising pages and I will think you will all notice that Truckin has still has a ton more Tech, Features and editorial than the other guys!!

Unfortunately, the truck community is to blame for this loss. When we, as enthusiasts don't support the mags, this kind of thing happens.Magazines have to make money and if when you're at the grocery store, of Wal-Mart, or the bookstore, and you're not buying one, we all suffer.Don't let our competition fool you, this had nothing to do with them, it had to do with the truck world not buying magazines.  If you have a Sport Truck subscription, you will now receive Truckin'.   For all of you who had your truck shot for Sport Truck as a feature, we at Truckin' are going to do our best to run your truck. Also, for all you go-fast, muscle-truck guys, Truckin' is adding a new performance truck section in 2010 (you'll see it on stands in 2 months). This section will whet your appetite with blown, big-tire, hot-rods with a bed. Also, we will be picking up as much of the Sport Truck project truck tech and build-ups, as Mike with allow This way, you'll still see stories from Calin and Mike.   As for Mike and Andy, no one feels worse than we do. It could have been us. If you love the truck scene and you want to keep it alive and well—do your part!Buy truck magazines.-Dan Ward, Editor Truckin'---------------------------------------------what if we have both truckin and sport truck subscriptions?  kinda pointless for me to get 2 truckin mags every month........---------------------------------------------I believe you can call 800-765-0484 and choose which mag to switch your subscription to and can opt for Mini Truckin'? But i'm not exactly sure how it's all going to work out, as we are all just as shocked and saddened by this loss...

i find it kinda weird that the people from those mags are telling us to buy them and subscribe, yet dont pay for a membership here and support this site. kinda funny

i think alot of mags are going to go down. internet is getting more and more popular and easyer than paper back mags. think about it. sad thing indeed. another 20 years and we may not even have stores. just buy everything from the net.

IF and I mean IF Truckin comes thru with what they are saying about getting more into the performance side of the truck industry ( and I dont me going down to the muffler shop and having the latest and greatest 40 series flowmaster welded in) I might consider purchasing the magazine again, and if you need a hint pick up HOT ROD mag from a couple months ago and see what the guys did with a clapped out 73-87 C10 truck - thats the kinda articles I wanna see.  Give David Freiburger a call over at HOT ROD - that guy has saved more magazines than I care to count, he editorials are the best Ive ever read, he's bare bones, grit under the fingernails, no holds bared editor that every magazine needs - oh man if frei was on the staff of TRUCKIN - I would be buying the mags right off the news stand without even cracking them open cause I know I will find every feature and article in the mag a enjoyment to read
