Will we ever?

I would love to see one of these also.  It has been talked about with TEXMEX and we have the ability to do it.  The show grounds and town love everyone and excited about our return.  The main problem is staffing an event like this.  We would need to have certain areas staffed by certain clubs.  Say the show grounds were staffed by NC and the gate was staffed by aftermath and so on.  This would be something that could be done at our location and we would do it if we had the commitment from others to step up and work the show. Everyone also would need to consider the extra cost that would be involved in something like this.  Also the cost to throw a show like this would be crazy so just imagine going to the gate and being told 150 each person.  Im just guessing but i could see this being close to the price.  These are the things that have stopped us from going after this 100%

IMHO $150 for a show thur-sun that I don't have to pay for a hotel room is a steal. Tex Mex last year was probably my cheapest show of the year because I didn't have to pay for a hotel stay 2 nights. I would love to see something like this happen and am willing to help in anyway possible. Hell...if yall need any help this year just let me know Mitch...you got my number.

I agree with the majority here, after going to Tex Mex last year and seeing all the states represented and the convoy from Cali.....this is our Sturgis and it's only gonna get bigger, too bad I gotta miss this year

when i saw this topic i wasn't going to say anything, we actually discussed this at one of our meeting at the park where Tex Mex will be held this year, the guy who runs the ground does Dogs On Hogs, a week long motorcycle river run, so we know it can be done there. It is funny that this topic has came up we have been talking to sponsors about a event just like this. More of a City event like Stugis for Mini Trucks, Trucks and Mini Truck style cars. I have revisited Roswell they are up for an event like this also Blythe said that we could have 3 miles of down town. I just have to work out the logistics of an event of this caliber.

Wow this thread has been read and answered. It has been something I thought about for years and yes it is a big task and I m happy that the idea is being disscussed by all of you. I think this could change not only the scene but the custom industry for years to come.

When I think of Sturgis, Bike rallys, weekend getaways...I think of a whole city wide party. Like the old PF days, miles of Minitruckers, hangout spots, motels/hotels, fun for everyone.. I would do this in a heart beat, a show isnt needed...We dont need Staff, judges, etc...make a yearly get together for minitruckers and just have a ball, bring business to a small town like sturgis, have one place that is the place to hangout like Full Throttle is for the bikers... That is a weekend, I would mark my calender for NOW for the next year every year...Like Bob said, if it can be done, GREAT...If not some where needs to be found that doesn't mind us being there and just have a great weekend... Go get food, see badass minis, go get gas, see badass minis, go grocery store, see badass minis....I can see this happening for sure..Especially if thousands of wild ass bikers can do it for a week!! haha

What I have been talking to the cities about is taking over the streets blocking them off putting the vendors down the middle of the street letting you cruise. Have an area where you can drag in Blythe they are talking about the airport for it to work there needs to be involvement by other clubs to take on other areas at the event. Say Sunset takes care of the downtown Severed takes care of the drag area No Regrets takes care of the show and so on for it to be a Nation Mini Truck event there needs to be involvement by all. This is just my thoughts of how to make it a event for Mini Truckers by Mini Truckers. Plus there would need to be the understanding that this is our event and we would like to see it last for years so if you see someone being a dick take care of it. And remember this is a town that people live in and respect it don't think that because we are giving that town money that we can just do what we want. This would have to be a partnership between all of us.
