I've already told Bob before that would be more than willing to lend a hand in any large West Coast events.

What about something like Burning Man out in the desert, minus the dirty hippies.

Funny someone said Burning Man desert camping in the middle of no where we had that it was called Reso. It was the event in 1990 2860 trucks camping 99% Mini Trucks.

umm we have people from all over the world come to shows all ready.  WCN had aussie, japan, hawaii, and pretty much the lower 48 states in attendence..?

Has anyone been to Vernon, TX in August, "Summers Last Blast" they have a closed cruise and is relatively large but not really thousands of vehicles but quite a bit, a smaller town would be nice cause it gives the town a chance to bring in revenue.  But at the same time the town needs to be big enough to support these types of crowds.  The only thing I didn't like about Vernon is the fact that it was a closed cruise and only certain year model vehicles could register to cruise... but hey it was nice just to sit on the sidelines and drink some brew and shoot the shit!  A little off subject but my 2 cents...

Some people don't know this but for a few years I ran the Rt 66 Rendezvous in San Bernardino. It is pre 1970 Vehicles only Event.  When I started there they had about 700 Vehicles and 25,000 people in attendance. When I left there 2100 vehicles 240,000 people. The thing with an event that size is it takes a ton of volunteers for the logistic's of the event. The major hurtle is the local police if there not buying into this it is a pain in the ass. A lot of people keep comparing us to Bike events of Hot Rod events. Cities when they here Mini Trucks they don't even let you Truck out of your mouth before they say no.

You see the problem i see here is everyone wants to have it on the west coast. If you look sturgis is right in the middle of our country why can we do the same.

Sturgis is basically owned by private companies that just open the storefronts for the bike event.  If you ever visit in the off season all but 4 weeks of the year its a ghost town! I think 2 bars are open and thats about it.  I bet with the right contacts the vendors would love to open shop for another week.  With the way the economy is now is the time to get it together cause the towns are low on money and more desperate than ever.  Cash talks! But people do need to take responsibility for their actions for it to work.
