Events like Sturgis and Datonya bike week are just places that bikers picked a long ass time ago to make a weekend run to. Its taken several years to make them the huge overly corporate events they are today.  Everyone just needs to pick a little town to converge on and fuckn party for the weekend. Sturgis wasnt created in a day.   We all see these show that are diying every year. (ITB RIP) Why bother with em. People can create there own. Put a blindfold on point to a spot on a map pick a weekend and drive to it. Its that simple. Maybe in 30 years we can have an event like Sturgis.       

As a show promotor...I have to say that I really don't think this would be that hard to actually put on....If you found a town with substantial room for accomidations like hotels or campgrounds...or both...and had a good strip of local pubs or bars....then you would really just need to work with the town or city on this....not to have a show or staff but more like a huge meet...or rally...  people could gather together, hang out, party and have our minitrucker vendors I don't see where the cost would really be envolved except for advertisement which I'm sure that there are plenty of companies that would sponsor for something like this....I wouldn't go to this for a trophy, I would go to be a part of one of the best dam times in the minitrucker nation...I would deffinately be down to be a part of this and to lend a helping hand to get it going....just to have the respect from the minitruckers that if it gets out of hand it won't continue...because without having to fork out a ton of money on a private venue this could be done with minimal work except for the advertising...
