The money was taken out of my bank account on May 13 for these arms. Here's the emails that followed.

[ No Subject ]Friday, June 25, 2010 1:33 PMFrom:"CaSeY HaLL" Add sender to ContactsTo:dallashotrodparts@yahoo.comdo you have an estimated shipping date on the control arms? I'm getting ready to re-assemble the truck and was just wondering when I could expect them.

The uppers will be just after that.

I have a new helper in the shop that turns bushings and sleeves for me on the lathe so that when I get to the parts I have all the pieces ready for me. This should help me catch up sooner.

I am covered up with work. I have all the pieces cut and turned for your parts and need to weld them together.

I will have a better idea of a timeline when I finish the project Im working on this week.

Saturday, August 21, 2010 6:17 AMFrom:"CaSeY HaLL" Add sender to ContactsTo:"Michael White" It's been 3 months since I ordered the arms, I just wanted to see how they're coming along

Tuesday, August 24, 2010 8:41 PMFrom:"CaSeY HaLL" Add sender to ContactsTo:"Michael White" I want to go ahead and cancel these. It's been over 3 months since I ordered them and haven't seen them yet. I'm capable of building them myself but I ordered them because I was in the middle of bodydropping my truck and figured it would save me some time and I would be able to make it to some shows late in the season. So my trucks been done but sitting on jackstands for the past month because I don't have any front suspension now. I'd like to see my account refunded by Monday evening.

Re: PartsTuesday, August 31, 2010 8:35 PMFrom:"CaSeY HaLL" Add sender to ContactsTo:"Michael White" I appreciate it man but I would still like to cancel them.

Re: PartsThursday, September 16, 2010 7:58 AMFrom:"CaSeY HaLL" Add sender to ContactsTo:"Michael White" I cancelled these parts 17 days ago and my account hasn't been refunded yet. I feel like it has been more than enough time to do so. I'm giving you until monday september 20 to refund my account. If my account is not credited After that date I will be contacting the better business bureau.

Re: PartsWednesday, October 13, 2010 5:47 PMFrom:"CaSeY HaLL" Add sender to ContactsTo:"Michael White" do you have any intentions on refunding my money? I've been more than patient.

As you can see from july 28 to August 21 he never got back with me about the "timeline." I got no response from him from August 31 to september 23.On september 24 I called him and asked about my refund and he said he would check his records and call me back and never called back. And I never heard anything from him until I posted on this thread. I didn't want to start any shit but I knew that this thread would be the ONLY way I would hear back from him. Sorry Brandt

Can you provide anything showing you paid on the 13th of May?

How long did he promise you on wait time? Got that documented? I would say post that, single line screen shot of your money transaction from your bank account.

Even in the emails May 13th to August 24th is a long time, unless he told you it would be that long, then well I dont see the problem. But I dont see anything saying either way.

what you may not understand is that DHP is not making the best parts out there. thats not the intent. the intent is to make affordable parts.
if you want the best you need to spend 750 bucks for a set instead of 550.
--------------------------------------------

Did someone actually type that for suspension pieces???? Really??

You've got to be fn kidding me that you would have the state of mind to post something that fn stupid. $550 for arms and you should be happy with whatever is sent to you.

Once you have the jig it's basically cut and paste. So as production moves on production should cost less if you are doing it right.

If your state of mind as a company is the above you really should just go back to being BYC and keep people's money. Better yet on your website post 'it's 550 and if you want quality look at a competition for the same or 200 more'

my state of mind is making affordable parts. like Hyundai makes affordable cars. they and nobody else makes cars like Mercedes or Rolls. you drive a rolls or a mercedes? maybe all other car companies should just quit building "affordable" cars sicne they are not the best.... doesnt look good for Honda, Toyota (man they got problems), Nissan etc... not to mention Government Motors or Chrysler...bailout Kings! with your logic they should all just give up...

so also by your statement you think any of the big three make the best suspension pieces they can make? Um no...

They make affordable parts that work well. If they made the best they can make we would all be driving Nascars.

my state of mind is to offer a product that costs less to produce but works great. you change it around and spin it any way you like. just another of the BYC haters coming back for another round.

do you shop at walmart or the high end stores? get a clue.

I know I dont make the best parts and I can admit it. I make affordable parts. suspension parts dont have to be laser cut or tig welded to work great. Mine work great and are MIG welded. My balljoint plates are CNC plasma cut, not lasered. thats what I mean.

so stop thinking you are uncovering some hidden secret. I make parts that use 1.250"X.188" wall DOM tube, CNC plasma cut .250" balljoint plates and .188" bag plates. I use Energy Suspension poly bushings (the best) and I weld them with a Miller 251 running .035 wire with the setting on .250" thick material. Ho much better does it get? TIG welding? laser cut? CNC machined balljoint cups? thats where I save money for the customer.

You can say whatever you want about the statements above. I have pics of the parts on my site and every detail is covered there as well.

I choose to build affordable parts, you can choose to buy from me or someone else.

Casey and I have talked on the phone recently and thats a fact. we also just talked on text message.

its not a big deal. its taken care of and has been in the works. its just been blown out of proportion by the same BYC haters that dont know me at all.

all the statements Ive made in this thread and nobody addreses them they just move on to say something else to try and get a rise.

once you have the jig its cut and paste?? now thats the stupid thing here... wow...

no, its a little more complicated than that to make arms. even affordable ones. no production costs the same after the first set but its still not cheap to build arms. DOM tube expensive, so are poly bushings, balljoints, and all the equipment to build them.

cut and paste... OMFG lol wow thats funny

FXDGRND   +1y
Wow lots of names here from one person.

How is it not cut and paste with a jig...

You cut the tubing to fit the jig, unless you just free hand all of them
Place said pieces in jig to tack together
Remove finish weld

I am one of the original byc customers, and I admit I talked my fair share of trash on mike, BUT with good reason. I had good reason to feel the way I felt, lack of comunication, lack of parts, I felt as though I was getting screwd.
I just today recieved half of the order I placed in june of 05. Mike still owes me for lower arms, but I have waited this long I figure I can wait a few more weeks, or years. As far as product quaility, mmmm so so. I hate to admit it but mikes kindda right, I bought the arms 1 because of the price, 2 at the time he was the only one making arms for my yota. I ended up buying a set of Kustom Werks for that project, a couple years latter and eventually sold that truck to a customer. When I got back in touch with mike, told him what truck I had, and now 5 years latter have something to show for it. Like I said he still owes me for some lower arms so we will see

Anyways thats just my story

I seek nothing, I want no money back, I want no rework, I want nothing more than to let everybody else know to be weary. I will let my pictures on page 3 speak for themselves.

Your excuses are so transparent that I don't need to further prove my point. Brandt wanted some facts....Pictures speak louder than words. Best of luck with your business and I hope you step the quality up.

no excuse for variance? the balljoint presses in. almost any balljoint sleeve thats a weld on part has variance so its tighter at the top. Mine are no different. I intentionally make them have grooves to better hold the balljoint especially knowing what kind of abuse a balljoint takes on a bagged vehicle.

my balljoint plates are CNC plasma cut and have been since I reopened. Ive stated that many times in forums and its all over my site. Thats part of getting a part thats more affordable. However I have since started drilling the bolt holes. Ive also reamed the center hole as well.and as stated in an earlier post I use threaded ends now on adjustable arms and other places.

--------------------------------------------

Look above. I was talking about the .025" deep scratches in the bore, not the taper of the cup (which in fact is nonexistent).

And really? machine grooves so the balljoint is held better? I'm pretty sure I don't see too many balljoints falling out the bottom of cups ever. My airspring does a great job of ensuring they stay up and at em.

So now that you use threaded ends on rod ends and not bolts anymore, what am I to do with these 4 gems I have lying around?
