LOCAL MINIS back in the day Pete's Lerope's "BLUE AURA" S-10 was the first body dropped mini in FL, (on 17's) it was at the Bill Cox year end show Dec 1995. (but it had no motor) before the body drop pic below and featured in Truckin' magazine 95 Mike lessard body dropped this truck in I think it was Feb or March 1996, (it was already juiced by Jorge Perez) (on 15's) it ran and drove, so we called it the 1st running driving body dropped truck in FL, but legally it was never registered or insured, (he towed it to shows)  Big John's fullsize was finished in April 1996, (By Jorge Perez)(on 20's dont forget..lol) Thus it was the 1st body dropped fullsize in FL, the first body dropped truck on 20's anywhere (even ask Brian Jendro of the Chop Shop, said it had never been done). It was registered, insured and he drove it to local shows and hang outs.So we called that the 1st legally registered and insured body dropped truck in FL.  We (the infamous LOCAL MINS) had all three trucks in our club, we had all three trucks at the Water Mania show in June 1996

20s in 96? I bet they cost like $15K!! this is an awesome thread. I really like seeing all the rides from the late 80s, early - mid 90s. My dad's 1990 isuzu PUP was lowered on 15s with a camper top with some airbrushing. kind of what got me started on trucks. I remember flipping through his old minitruckin mags as a little kid, too bad he didn't hold on to any of them

I don't remember the cost but they were very expensive. I'll send him this link and maybe he'll tell what he paid. lol
