i was told on several occasions that a rendering of my car would help alot but i looked around and a rendering would cost 100 - 300 bucks and thats alot for a picture but i got a call to work for a body shop today so i might just start buying parts and see if i can get a %off or for cost and the air bag setup is going to be all trial and error never done one.

Ever heard of the phrase " you gotta spend money to make money" ?????? Well, $300 is a SMALL price to pay for possibly thousands of dollars in free parts. My car is a done deal, it is gonna look exactly the same as it does now when i get it repainted black, which in my eyes is worth more than a drawing of my car, but sponsors still want a drawing of it. So if I want a sponsor, then a drawing is what they will get.

And as far as "trial and error" and "never done one", I don't think a company is going to want to give away stuff to someone who has no idea how to install it correctly. If installed wrong, it can actually make people NOT want the product, and if installed wrong could ultimately be fatal.

all the diy mini guys dont know how to do it its all trial and error online help videos and instructions which is what i do is read watch and learn

FYI those same DYI guys and gals dont expect free products. Build it get it featured and at SEMA then start hitting up people for stuff. For lack of better term it is street credentials.

If you want to learn how to do something, submerge yourself into that topic. Go to shows. Go to cruise nights. Buy magazines. Meet people who have successfully done what you are trying to do. Ask them questions. And when people who know what they are talking about give you advice, take it. Don't argue with them.

I have been for 4 years while i was building my garage and buying the right tools i have i learn everything i can about cars its a f&#king sickness i cant go a day with out working or learning something about cars the best way to do everything. I dont want to be a DIY guy i want to be the best in every aspect i dont want to pay people to weld, paint, body work, build, fiberglass, install or anything else ive the only thing i havent done yet and dont want to do is interior (seats) but everything. It kills me to know that i dont have money to make my car into what i see in my head it like im a waste off air to the people who have money who can build their dreams.

Whoa, a little dramatic, ya think?????

HOPEFULLY a final word of advice.................. Don't compare yourself to others. You are not them. Get over it. I love working on cars too, I don't have a million bucks, I have a wife and 2 kids...LOL. Be happy with what you have, and try your best at what you have to work with. IF you're gonna always compare yourself to BIG shops, you better quit now.
