I must admit, these did scare me at first because of how large the "windows" were cut. But a standard hole wheel shouldnt have a single problem.

DragNasty is right about the load rating. We considered milling the faces and our preference is not to do it. If asked, we can do it. People can see how far the wheels are apart if you don't from the earlier picture on page 1 or 2 of this topic. Like I said, I have never seen anyone have problems with a milled wheel.

Also, we take as little off at the bead as possible with the CNC. I'm not worried about that. We do not machine off nearly the amount of metal that I've seen on some. We are trying to achieve specific and repeatable numbers at the bead area.

I read back over this thread but didnt see it....did anyone post the measurement for running a 16" inside wheel w/ one of the Townasty or GCS wheels on the outside?

Alfredo over at DIMA has these wheels too.. if anyone else would like to argue about them

OK so me being a neutral party think there should be a set givin to me from the companies doing these wheels and I will do an unbias test on which is better.

has anyone messed with cutting a durabright down? I was wonderin if it would screw with the coating where it'd start to oxidize underneath or chip along the edge.

me likey that K-dub also!
"If" it were mine it'd have a shorter sleeper(36"), 13" visor painted to match, no cab lights and the headlights in the bumper with the old school round headlights

Illegal Regal, I've never heard of anyone cutting a durabright down. Durabrights look good new, but not as good as a good polish job on the regular wheels. They also seem to have an orange-peel look to them. Over time they also yellow, but that might be to how they are cared for.

Thanks for compliments on the KW. I like all your ideas, except the small sleeper. Small sleepers are only good for short trips.

I've been runnin durabrights for 2 years in the construction biz and they get pounded with mud, stone, etc.. they get light scratches but haven't turned. They carry a 5year warranty on the finish though. I'm lazy and love the idea of never polishing them again.. if only they started doing tanks

I know what ya mean about the sleeper but a 36" would make that thing look even longer
