Ya I know that. I was just seeing if you had an opinion on running the lighter axle. I thought if I did I would gusset it. I probably would never come anywhere close to overloading it and it is quite abit narrower than the dually axle.

I dont see what it would hurt running a lighter axle. A gusset would be even better if you thought you may get close to an overload.

I think I would have a few more gearing choices for the dana 60 also it seems like 4:10 is the lowest you can go with the dually axle.

if the rear end is still in the truck you can see the differance
one the pick up duallys the in side wheel almost lines up with the front wheel and one the c/c the out side wheel almost lines up with the front wheel

My current rear has a locker and disc brakes that are basically new and are already there so I will stick with it. I am use to working with fiberglass anyway.....check out our website...you will see a few glass cars on there...the willys roadster is cut sectioned widened and narrowed..haha

The narrower axles are not a bolt in swap? I know where there are a couple and they wouldn't care if their axle was wider so I could just swap them.
