Somebody answer my damn questions. Is the c/c axle a bolt in swap? I'm talking about the older trucks 73-87.

I am guessing yes but I have never done one. Frame rails might be the only difference.

You should be able to swap to a narrower rearend on your truck no prob Husker.
The older trucks like your style had a narrower frame. One thing you could check is take a tape to the C/C truck and measure the width of the frame. I am sure though that the inner fender wells will have to be changed.
I want to put a C/C on my 05 but I will have to narrow the frame to fit the 22s.
Also I think Nasty has the factory axle on his and he went with the narrower 22s and didnt have to touch anything. stock fenders and frame width.

The fabbing isn't any big deal. I just thought if I could swap a guy that would be the cheapest. I found a 2 speed rear at the junkyard. Already 10 bolt hubs, but I think it would take one hell of a notch to get the truck to lay with that under there. I need to go take some measurments.

Sweet! Just convert to a manual trans and throw you a little high/low knob on the stick, and your good to go.
