i know of some diesels that run the feedpump for the diesel on the back of the dynamo
if you can find an dynamo with a bit of shaft sticking out the back you might hook sumtin up behind there if you got room behind it

As of right now I already have the York 209. I was going to run it on the 454. With the cummins though it seems to be an issue. I'm just hoping to be able to get it pumping with what I already have. I guess worst case scenario I could sell the york, and get a couple of electrics, but cash is tight right now so making something work with as little cash as possible is the key.

i done alittle research on itand decided to just stick with my oasis....the Bendix compressor is what comes on commercial stuff and thing about it is it doesnt have a clutch its constantly running....it stops building pressure by holding a valve open(from what ive read)...it works good on comercial vehicles cause they have air brakes, air suspension, ect that is constantly needing air as where most of the time you are riding your air system is up to pressure and wont need constant air like say a bus or cargo van would...not ideal for bags...but i have seen a few compressors mounted on 12 valves in pics....they were mounted like Kirbys 24 valve setup above the alternator...guys modified Kirby 24 kit to work on 12 or built there own brackets...sorry no pics though

That's the only way I can see to mount it also. The alternator already sits pretty high on the engine. If I mount it on top of that I think the entire compressor would be sticking through my hood lol.
I'm really thinking about trying to get rid of the AC comp, move the alt down there, and put the York where the Alt was...This is going to get fun.

I wish it would cool down outside a little bit. It got to around 105 yesterday, and there was no way I was going into the sun with no shade to run a welder or plasma cutter. It's supposed to rain for the next few days and cool it off. I really hope it does. Not only do I want to get this frame done ,but I'm sure my neighbors are tired of the junkyard I've turned my back yard into.

That's cool man. Whenever you get around to it. Not like I'm waiting on it to get my truck going or anything. Just trying to get all the info I need to get a plan formulated before I yank the engine out. Trying to minimize the down time of the cummins as much as possible. We're in a heat wave/drought in the midwest right now also. I'm not about to go out and weld or run a plasma on a 104 degree day lol.

I had a guy come along an trade me out tires this morning. The tires I had on the dually were way to tall. They were 235/85-16's. He traded me his set of 235/70-16's, gave me a couple hundred bucks, and is taking care of all the mounting and balancing so I think I did pretty good on it. I'll have to find one tire pretty soon but it should t be to bad.
After dark last night when it cooled down a little I finished welding one side of the z and cut out the rest of my plates for my X member and the inside of the Z. I'm headed to pick up some more Flapper wheels and welding rods and hopefully this eveni it'll cool down enough to hit it again.

Does anyone have a link to an article about this truck or happen to know what color was used to paint it? I'm looking to paint my truck the same color but need to know the exact color. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Haha good luck on finding info on that truck. I've been trying to get some info on his engine mounts for a couple weeks on 3 or 4 different forums. That truck and the guy that built it are like ghosts or some shit.

On a side note I got my Z completely finished tonight. Gunna try and get the front end done and back on in the next couple of days.

Side of the Z. Plated and waiting for some POR 15. You can see the tires in the back ground on my axle. Those are the new smaller ones.
