Always nice to bond with the children. I look forward to when my son is that at an age that we can do stuff like this together. Truck looks sweet man!! Nice progress, keep it coming!!

Great to hear you passing your skills to the next generation. Nothing can replace garage time with pops.

Needed a tray around the shop and had a bunch of extra tubing doing nothing but taking up space. I went to one of the local restaurant supply houses in town and got one of the huge aluminum food trays for $9. Spent some time with the plasma cutter, grinder, the welder, and here you go!

Check it out and let me know what you think.

You have to check out this 55 gallon drum wood stove. If you can build one of these duallies then this would be a walk in the park. I am trying to scavange up some 55 gallon drums to make my own. Should be fairly cheap to make, and with all the construction going on around our neighborhood there is ample wood being thrown out everyday by the contractors.

Check it out.

In one of my old shops I got tired of freezing and made a wood stove also. I didn't have a barrel but what I did have was a bunch of old tin from the roof,a stack of old 4" piping from an old stove someone had left, and an old fuel oil tank someone else had also left. That tank was pretty damn big. Just a big oval shape. I shortened the legs to about 12", made a door on the front of it with a couple of old hinges and some 1/8" plate. It wasn't perfect but it sure kept us a lot warmer than not having it all winter.

First of all I have to say that today was the perfect weather. 54 degrees and perfect blue skies. I was supposed to go dirt bike riding today, but one of my riding partners could not go so I headed out to the shop and decided to get busy on the notches. I got everything marked and put the plsma cutter to good use. Here are some pic's of the work I got done today.

I will have to break it up in two sections to get all the pic's in. Yeah I'm a picture hound just like you!

I still have to go back tomorrow and do all the welding. I would have done that today, but Supercross is on tonight!
