Thats a great idea on the spread sheet!!! i make a to do list when i get confused lol. the past few weeks ive stuck to the list for the back.. im kinda wondering where to go from this point. im bad about thinking about too many things at once then i get side tracked lol.

My dad taught me pretty well the same way, not quite to this extent on fabbing an entire truck, i just took that outlook and ran with it. id live in my shop if i could lol. i stay in there when im at home. i worked 3 a.m. one night last week lol.

the major thing that sets me back is i have "0" help. it takes forever to do it all soley by your self.

I do most of my work solo as well, and your right some tasks take forever... OK my youngest comes out to help every once and a while, but right now he is not into building cars/trucks. I hope someday he will get interested, more than likely when he wants a ride of his own...

Here is a trick I taught myself when I put a long list together. Put everything down you can think of that needs to be accomplished, and yes I mean everything you are going to have to do to get your ride out the door and looking good. Then take a number and place it besides each of the tasks in order of importance. Then add one more column where you can place a check once that task has been completed. Never, repeat never check off the task until it is completely finished. This helps me stay on a particular item until it is done, I have serious ADD when it comes to some tasks, and I want to go onto the more flashy and fun items on the list.

I have been working on the Watts link some more. I finished up the mounting tabs, the attachment plate, and the main link mount. After I got them done I mounted up the Watts link for a trial fit. Snapped these shots and closed the shop for the night.

Next I have to drill the mounting bolts for the Watts link attachment plate, do my finish grinding, and slap some paint on it. Then I have to make the arms, but I have to get the notches installed before that. Basically a lot of work ahead before I can call the rear end done!

Also UPS Santa brought me some more presents! The adapters arrived today!! The UPS Santa dude did not look happy to carry those heavy boxes. I have been waiting on these for quite a while. Thanks UPS Santa!!!

Had my 12 year old out in the shop this weekend. He got to do his first metal working. First we started with how to use the plasma cutter and several other tools. It was fun to watch him learn how technical it is to use a tool like that. Yeah dad makes it look easy, but heck I have been doing this since I was 14.

We started with light gauge sheet metal and then moved on to 1/4" plate. By the end of the day we made a candy cane for the Christmas tree out of the 1/4" plate. He then spent a while filing down all the edges, and then painted it up to look just like a real candy cane. Came out real nice in the end. I hope this is the starting point for him to enjoy working with tools and building things.
