Got some work done on this thing lately... Tacked everything in for the watts link and cycled everything out... Works like a charm! I had it notch the Watts crossmember On the top and bottom for the links but it still turned out ok and I'm so happy with it. Now it's all ready to weld in everything for good.
Here's the upper bracket that goes on the right side

Lower link bracket on the left side... Notice that the brackets fit perfectly inside the centre of the bag saddles

Here you can see wher the notch is for the upper link... I just cut and fit a piece of tube in there and metalfinished it... Poor planning on my part but shit happens when everything is scratch built. I think It doesn't look too bad though

Here's a shot from the top... I threw the bags in with a ball valve to make it move on its own and through the 9 or so inches of expected travel, it has zero movement side to side

Another shot from the side looking down

I've also started building the parts for the front and I should have that progress posted up in the next few days

Ok so how did you set up your watts? Reason I ask is that im having trouble with mine. It moves every which way when you go up or down. Are they suppose to be setup aired out ride height or all the way aired up.

Oh and my setup is pretty much like yours but everything is reversed. Meaning sq tubing on rearend and links coming from frame to watts.

from wat i read a watts allways moves intoo a lazy S arc , i think it will do that less the longer you make the arms but im not sure
the eazy way to find that out is making sumting out of cardboard string and nails lay it flat on a tabletop and move it up and down drawing a pencil line through the center part

Ideally, the cantilever arm should be close to center (up and down) at ride height. Always try to make the two arms as long as you can. When I made mine on my 1500, the arms are flat when layed out and look all funky when at full lift but the rear does not move left to right at all.

Full lift

I set mine up with the bars level at ride height, and the pivot point in the centre of the axle. So it's right in the middle of the "s" at ride height and travels in either direction throughout the travel... I was surprised it worked out as well as it did on the first try, I've heard they can be tricky to setup sometimes.
