I love your 65! I really miss my cluster f--- of a 64. Never should have sold it, but I want to find a type 3 or Ghia to build.

If you have the patience to get spray paint to look that good, I'm sure your truck will turn out real nice. Good luck on the job!

Alright so i took pictures during my painting process this time. My phone is my music so i didnt wanna stop music to take pics last few times. anyways here it is.
Sanded, primered, wetsanded.

Fixed the fender also, and put the door back together and on the truck. All in a days work.

Now i need to finish painting my rims, and redo the hood. Speaking of hood this is how it looks up close.

Another eventful week. Job interview has been canceled until about June. Damn sequester. Anyways i Bought a radio, 4 4" Speakers and a kenwood head unit. no more radio that plugs into my phones headphone jack.
Today i went to a few Junkyards(always fun just to walk around them anyways ha) i found a Mazda emblem for the grill off a Mazda MPV fix perfect. also fit nicely into my pocket as i walked out.

Ive been looking for Solid Lifters for my truck for a while, with no luck every truck i find the motor is either gone, Fuel Injected or the head is gone along with the lifters.
While looking i found a new cluster, one with a tach. emjay was selling one a week or so ago, with a white face, sold it. Well i found a black one, cleaned it and reset the mileage to 0000000

Thanks to emjay also for posting a thread on how to get it to work with my truck. Only i have a couple issues that the thread didnt talk about is that when i turn on the lights on the dash, and change the brighness up the fuel guage and the temp both go to the top, or the bottom depending on where the brightness is. So im not sure if i have a wire problem or what but i need to look that up. Unless someone here knows.

Cant wait to get some more done. Im thinking of buying the paint i want to paint the truck while i have money, then ill be able to paint and do the body work next time.

How did you reset the odometer? I want to set mine to the correct milage but not sure how.

took the 2 screws off that hold the guage on 2 clips hold it on, i broke one(on accident) but it came out, i rolled the numbers back to 0 put it back in and super glued the plastic piece that broke back on, then used a soldering gun and melted it all back together so between the glue and melted plastic it should stay put.
There might be an easy way, but I didnt find it

sounds like you have a short in the dimmer switch wiring area. id take an ohmmeter and check it out. Looking good though
