Cool, I want pics of the Volvo

One of the great junkyard bargains, are the 300zx calipers. They are 4 piston, aluminum, and you can get them cheap. Might be a bit overkill for our little trucks though...

Stopping isnt the problem-starting and running fast are.Lol. BJ

the only thing on the pulleys is they have the external harmonic engine balance built into them, but if one could be made that had the same balance to it, yeah i'd deffinately want one as i will have the same 2 belts you do (a/c, ps, alt.), & it would shave off an extra couple lbs of rotating mass & free up a couple extra ponies! just let me know....it would be sweet if we could get a cam gear cut too.....adjustable would be super nice!

are 300zx calipers a direct bolt on swap for mazdas?

When u r talking adjustable cam gear, r u talking being able to control duration and lift or timing on the gaer itself? Im not sure I understand how a cam gear can be adjusted other than rotation speed controled by the number of teeth.BJ

you can adjust the degreeing of the cam, advance or retard it....

here is a link to a fidanza one for a miata

cam gear retards or advances the timing usually around up to 10 degrees either way.

lol weird,we posted that at the same time

So ur using the cam to adjust timing rather than the dist?Seems redundant-other than the rotational weight savings of the liter gear.is it more precise or are there advantages i am not thinking about?BJ

No. But they could be made to fit with an adapter bracket. The point is that they are nice, lightweight calipers that you can get cheap.
