your take on immigration

I wasnt trying to diss on Canadians in any way. I was just saying that the majority of Americans have a ton of pride.

As for being able to pick illegals up and pay them to do work. You can do that in almost any major city in the USA. Shit I live in GA and if I drive down the road to Home Depot there are tons of illegals standing around waiting for work. Part of the immigration issue is not just the people coming over, but also the tons of people that employ them illegally. Alot of landscaping, construction comapines etc will hire guys and pay them under the table. I dont have a problem with people wanting a better life, but it needs to be done with govt control. I want them to be taxed and registered. If they want to be a part of our society than they need to contribute to it.

If someone is an illegal and they have to go to court for driving without a drivers liscense then what incentive do they have to show up. They can just disapper. I think that all illegals that get arrested need to be deported. No questions asked. If they are determined to come back let them try, but we will be more prepared.

I had an old boss who used to pick up illegals back in the 70's for daily work.

but seriously, those who are arrested should definitly be deported and those who hire them should be charged, and not some crappy little fine, those who are hiring illegals are in a way commiting tax fraud. but more importantly, the illegals have to go. the pres. should have people undercover picking them up to work then deport them

this is so true! i live in the deepest south tx you can get before you are in to mexico. illegals are a common thing around here. a friend of mine picked 2 lillegals to plant 3 bigass trees at his house. he paid 20bux and a 12 pack! these guys were soo willing to work that theyll take anything and alot of people take advantage of it! duz anybody see this wrong? seriously? i dont get why they come and work for shit but then complain about it. i dont know i think that they should just stay in their country and out of ours!

The problem they are faced with is little to no work in their home country, and stories of opprotunities in the United States.. so they come here to find out its much harder than they immagined and end up working for little to no money just to get by. Like I said before.. we should be less worried about a fence and more worried on finding these people jobs... in their home country.

tell that to bush or in their case pres. fox(mexicos president) mexico is more concerned about making drugs legal than rather finding thier people jobs! seriously look it up!

agreed.. especially after illegal smugglers were confronted and ended up the driver was killed. Now Mexico wants a full investigation... and if they file a suit aginst the US I say boycott Mexico.

i don't know if this has been said before but my autotech teacher made a good point in class a while ago that we should annex mexico so the "illegals" are no longer illegal and we can get oil from them cause from what i understand mexico has oil but i can't see that happening netime soon so i guess we should just deal with the way it is for now
