ALL things of this earth are sinful period. There is none who are innocent. There is none that are good. What we see as "tragedies" God uses fro His perfect will. We don't see the "Good" that comes of some of these things. But I trust God works His will through them. I don't fully believe as some say, that it's His judgement upon us, though I don't say it couldn't be either.

Let's look simply at the 10 commandments. Can you honestly say you've never broken even one of them? Nope ya can't can ya? lol, so what's that make us? Sinners. What's the punishment for sin? Death. Why did Christ die on the Cross? To take the penalty of sin for those whom will believe. Now, if ya wanna get nitty gritty about it lol, there's 613 commandments in the Bible. If you broke 1 of 10, how many did we break fo the 613? How many did we break more than once, more than 10/20/ even 30 times?

I can't, and no one can, explain why certain tragedies happen. All I know is this world is not perfect. It's been tainted since sin entered into it and Satan decided he wanted to rule things. All I know is in the end, it will be perfect when it gets made "new" as the Bible tell us.

I believe God created ALL things in Creation. That includes all planets, stars, solar systems, etc...whether we can see them or not is moot. He didn't create anything for our glory lol. So it doesn't matter if we can see them or not, HE can.

LOL! Hotdawg, you are doing a good job explaining this all! I don't think I could type so much!

I wish I knew the verse to it in the bible, but all I can say is, "We all fall short to the glory of God!"

...for he has sent his own begotten son to save mankind! God himself sent his own son to earth to save all of mankind from spiritual death!

...the last breath we take here on earth is the first breath we will take in heaven.

I was a little kid, and I always had this selfishness feeling of the fact that I could'nt fathom my own importance on earth when there is over 6 BILLION of us living! Think how many of us there has been through the course of history!

I wondered, my question to people I knew was, "If the fate of the was determined by you dying for them, would you sacrifice yourself?"

Gods plan was to send his own SON to do the same EXACT thing for ALL of us. Everything of his death from chastizing, crown of thorns, seamless red cape, to the crucifix having a top that points up, to the spear in the side and gushing water is all symbolic that relates to our salvation.

From him, this is how we are justified to enter heaven. For his mercy is eternal and he understands now how come we are sinners and such frequent ones at that!

When there is a "natural disaster" God let this happen because he knew his plan and will that in turn something good is going to come out of it!

God and Lucifer are having a spiritual war, and we are the "civilians" in the crossfire! We are no PAWN to GOD, but we are to the devil. God is going to use us against the devil if we give ourselves to him! So, just remember, just because someone murdered someone, does'nt mean that man should be struck dead for his sin! Because for all WE know, he could surrender to God and use his own testimony to save others!

Animals cannot sin. I wish I also had the verse to this, but if I remember correctly, humans are the only ones with a spirit.

God, in the beginning created the heaven and earth. He created everything in between as well. The universe is his domain, and I'm sure someday these stars are going to serve their purpose!

Well I'm going to stop there, because I'm sure it will turn into a fire...

animals have no souls??????? damn robots, well I guess my dog that recently died didn't go to heaven....well shoot, that sucks.
phatkix +1y
native indians say they feel the souls of animals.
speedster93b +1y
so your saying that only what you believe is true? what about indians that believed that when they die the take animal form, or the spirit of the (insert animal name here) will guide them? they were (some still are) all about the animals. Does that make them wrong?
hex0rz +1y
As far as I remember, they did'nt... We are valued over the animals more. We are human, and have the free will.

Okay, let me try and explain this better! Angels in heaven, they are like "robots" only in the sense that they will obery Gods command and will NOT question him! They have a robotic like love for him.

With us, we have been given the freedom to choose whether or not to follow him and love him!

The animals, have no control of free will, they are in a sense just like the angels in heaven! Whether or not they have a soul, I may need to retract that comment until I figure out where that verse is...

I remember my unlce talking about this one as well. I think he said something about them having no souls. When they die, they are just gone...nothing there...

But who knows on that, lol. Might be a nice thing for the animals to be in heaven as well... Eh, we'll find out!

What I say is what I believe is true. I'm not here imposing my beliefs onto you but letting you understand what it is I believe! I'm not a judge either, and I will not tell you who is wrong and whats not!

My brothers wife is indian, and she still has the belief that she will be reincarnated into a person with a wealth in her life depending on her actions in this life! Thats why she thinks having all these kids and raising them is going to get her something good her next time around!

But as far as animals, I don't think her ancestors believes in that one...
gravity5 +1y
You are saying animals don't have free will.....uh NO, that is utter crap, sorry, I can go with you on some of what you are saying....but animals have free will just like any human....or living creature for that matter.

Sorry but that is my opinion.
1hotdawg +1y
I don't anything in the Bible specifically about animal's souls or lack there of, or of their free will. But, Gravity, how would you know for sure animals have free will?

According to the Bible, God's spoken authority, yes we are saying it. Jesus Himself says "I am the life, the Way, and the Truth, no one will enter Heaven except through Me."

We didn't make that up lol. And there's no evidence that He didn't say it Himself, or that it is outside (or unlike) anything else He said in the scriptures. He says over and over we must believe in Him, trust in Him, "take up our Cross and foolow Him", etc. etc.

Let me ask a question, IF there is A God...and IF you believe there is, then what do you think He should do as far as punishing, or granting Heaven or Hell? What I mean is, what type of God would be your "ideal God"? So what would "your" God look like? How would He be? How would he bring people to himself...or would even care to?
gravity5 +1y
How would you know if YOU had free will.....it seems like you are completely driven by a book written thousands of years ago, that has no physical substantiating evidence to back it up.....Lots of things in history were regarded as miracles in their day, but in modern days are the norm, not a miracle at all.....The weather, lighting, thunder, tsunami's, electricity, the sun....I could go on for quite some time.....And who said that we are valued more than humans???? Pardon the expression, but god knows, we might have it all wrong, and the animals might have a god of their own that supercedes our god.

I guess the point some of the people who either do not believe, or have slightly different beliefs are making is to question what is put forth to you. Don't just take it at face value because an ancient book says it is so, sure god was predicted to come to the earth in a humaly form, but haven't you ever read a farmers almanac, it predicts tonnes of things and every now and then gets it right....I am sure there were plenty of predictions that were wrong, and in that fact plenty of predictions so vague that they could be fullfilled in any number of ways. I like to have proof, evidence of some sort to back up what I hear see feel, etc.

I would like to believe in a higher power, but will not know for sure until my days are up. Thats not to say I don't believe, I just have questions that cannot be answered.

As for the physical evidence of the Bible's authenticity, there are hundreds of archeological discoveries that back up the Bible's hitorical facts of battles, kings, queens, plagues, etc. Also there are many sources outside the Bible that back up these same things. Now can they back up that there is "a God"? No of course not, it takes faith. Faith isn't based on proof itself. Even the people who were around Jesus and had seen "God" didn't believe. Some saw the miracles of people being risen from death, the lame that were made to walk, the blind that were made to see immediately, yet they just thought He was healer or magician...even though He was giving them proof of His Godship.

As far as the prophecies of the coming Messiah, research it yourself. Look into the Jewish history, into Biblical history and see for yourself. These prophecies are in no way liken anything to that of a farmer's almanac lol. These prophetic messages cover thousands of years before the actual coming of Jesus. They come from multiple people of multiple nations.

Here's a few of the things prophecied about Him: (from 100prophecies.org just cuz it's easier )

1. God's salvation would reach the ends of the earth
Bible passage: Isaiah 49:6
Written: perhaps between 701-681 BC

2. God promised another prophet like Moses
Bible passage: Deuteronomy 18:15-18
Written: perhaps 1400 BC

3. Isaiah foreshadowed the virgin birth of Jesus
Bible passage: Isaiah 7:14
Written: perhaps between 701-681 BC

4. The Messiah would come from the tribe of Judah
Bible passage: Genesis 49:10
Written: perhaps 1400 BC

5. The Messiah would be born in Bethlehem
Bible passage: Micah 5:2
Written: sometime between 750-686 BC

6. The Messiah would be preceded by a messenger
Bible passage: Isaiah 40:3
Written: perhaps between 701-681 BC

7. Daniel predicted when an anointed one would be rejected
Bible passage: Daniel 9:24-26
Written: about 530 BC

8. The Messiah would enter Jerusalem while riding on a donkey
Bible passage: Zechariah 9:9
Written: between 520 and 518 BC

9. Jesus was betrayed by a friend
Bible passage: Psalm 41:9
Written: about 1000 BC

10. Zechariah foreshadowed the betrayal of Jesus for 30 pieces of silver
Bible passage: Zechariah 11:12-13
Written: between 520 and 518 BC

If you'd look up these passages on "Biblegateway.com" you can find even more for cross references of just these 10 prophecies that show where other writers of the Scriptures reinforced these prophecies.

Still, I want you who are debating this issue and have a problem with how (our) God is running things to answer, what kind of God do you look for? What kind of things would He be, or would He do? What about Heaven or Hell? etc. etc.

I think we've talked enough about who I think God is, what I want to know is your opinions to the questions stated above. What would your God be like? Whether you believe in "a God" or not, you could still answer this one question.
