well i was reading throgh the weekley auto sales paper, and came across a picture of a 84 b2000. for sale, at a dealership about 5 miles away, so i went to take a look at it, at first it did not look bad...the cab, fenders, hood, front end and interior were in exelent shape, the bed had a few rust holes, then i looked under and the frame was terrible, i mean it had holes and chunks of falling rust just about every where. so i took a second thought...but mabye i can just use the body and engine and either do a one off custom frame or find a good condition chassis at a junkyard or so?
what do you guys think...i took a picture of the ad....

im probably going their later to get another look at it, ill bring the camera to show you.

if you cant read it,it says 1984 mazda b2000, 57,000 miles, 5 speed, $900.

Were is the rust on the Frame? If its in the frame behind the cab mainly under the bed then back half it and bag it at the same time

from what i can tell it was under the bed, so yea, thats kindof what i was planning on doing.

sounds like a sweet project bro. i love that year mazda. should be in real good shape with that few of miles on her. you may want to show the salesman the rust and try to talk him down a little but 900 doesnt sound bad.

good body, low milage engine, for 900 bucks, dont really sound to bad, do a full custom body off frame.

yeah the frames on our years get water and such trapped inside the frame and it being a boxed frame you can figure out the rest.

Id say $600.

maybe you can do a motor swap and give me the tranny?

ill see what i can talk the salesman into on tuesday.

so, i just came back from from the lot and brought my camera with and took a bunch of pics of everything.
