Jus wonderin what you guys think.... A guy wants me to build him a 2 link for his s10... I've been talkin to him a lil and gave him a price. I've built one before and he saw it and wants me to build him one now.... I was jus pricin stuff on sd.com and i got an idea for a cool design in my head, it'd be like 160-180 after shipping for the stuff. And i told him 100 for labor...... You guys think thats fair?? He wants to give my a pioneer flip out tv but i don't want it, i'd rather have cash. Here's the last one i built when i bagged the back of a friends 92 s10.....

Just out of curiosity, why are the two joined?
Good clean work, nice welds. Price seems like a pretty good deal too, just remember to make it worth your while or everyone will hear about the price and want the same deal.

why are what 2 joined?? The 2 bars comin back from the leaf spring hangers?? Thats how 2 links are, the barfs have to be joined to prevent side to side motion of the axle. I jus dont wanna go too high. I'm no pro so i gotta get some lil jobs here and there to get my name out there, ya know??

Ok, not trying to be an ass, but when the link bars are connected to the rear differential, they become joined just as solid as what you have done.
To prevent side to side motion you need a panhard bar connected from the frame to the differential. The name two link is kinda mis-leading, a parallel four-link also needs a panhard bar, (or Watt's link if the funds allow).
I suggest you do a little more research, your work looks good and your prices are fair but you have to make sure you know everything involved when your dealing with suspensions.

By doing it the way he did he can eliminate the panhard. It is basically a 1-link. It will work.

It'll still shift side to side. He basically just did what the axle is already doing. Tying the two links together. It still runs a big risk or shifting to the sides. The only way to keep it from shifting side to side is to mount a panhard or to use triangulated upper links (wishbone or 2 more bars).

It shouldn't if it's solid enough. I've seen it done before and it works, as well as a 2-link works. And unless you weld it to the axle it will never be that solid.

The axle is still going to shift side to side. That's the concern. It'll find the weak spot and start to shift. Being the mounts where the link bars mount to the frame, or the frame itself. It will shift.
His welds and everything are very nice, as well as the work itself. He just needs to tie something in to the frame to keep it from shifting side to side.

I totally agree with trplezro.
You must use a panhard bar on a two link. The other stuff holding the two bars together are obsolete to keep the axle from moving from side to side. Once the joints wear out on the lower bars (links) the axle will start to sway from side to side. that bar welded between the links will not do a thing because it is not bracing the very thing that will sway which is the rear axle itself. I'm not knocking on the work. I think the work is nice but as far as suspension goes, that is a no. no.

My 2 link works great on my roadster but it does have a panhard bar! All that i know about them and have heard says you must have a Panhard bar.
