Was wondering how things were going with the project (motor). Sounds like your getting pretty close to the end of a very long check list

One fitting leak is pretty good considering how many I recall seeing. Good luck on the final details and look forward to your next post.

Got to work on it a bit friday, but the rest of the weekend has been shot, sat valentines, and today I've been trying to get tax stuff together.....fixed the one leak, then found the gasket on the front carb's fuel bowl leaking, fixed that, thought the linkage was set alright, but I'm gonna have to redo it since I've only got 1" of accel pedal travel....did try to crank it, but it wouldn't run prolly cause the linkage (guessing), plugs were getting fire, and gas to the cylinders, not sure if it was too much gas, or too little, so still a little sorting out to do, but close none the less...

Here's a few pics to hold ya'll over

Looks sweet. Are you running Weber DCOE carbs, looks like it. I rand one on my 12a swap. It is taking quite a while to work all the bugs out of it. I had to get bigger idle jets before it would even fire off. Now I have it running ,but not perfect. I still need to get it warm and set the timimg then final tune the carb. Good luck though on syncronizing the carbs. I have found a few of the british car sites to be helpful. Those limeys put the DCOE's on everything. - -Ed

That engine is so good looking. Will we get to see a video of it running after you have it all tuned up?

Thanks again, not that I don't like tan, it just doesn't go with where I'm headed with the truck, I wish I could have gotten the Black interior pieces off of the ebay guy that had the magnum engine, but hey I'll make do with what I have....once I get it running & together, next will be a bed cover & paint, then I may start swappin out some of the interior stuff, I want to pull the dash, smooth & paint it & install the rest of the autometer gauges, put some sportier seats in it, and maybe a sunroof...who knows, time is short with my future minitrucker on the way & so will be the funds once he/she gets here.

Hopefully I'll be able to post up some pics and or vid of it running later this weekend......fingers crossed, it'll be suck, bang (in a good way BJ lol), zoom-zoom!!

Well guys, I worked on it friday, and some yesterday too....I'm getting it to fire, but it still won't run (idle), I guess it's like BJ said, it would be a pain in the arse to get the carbs setup.....I'm gonna order some jets & hopefully next weekend I'll be able to get it running & post a vid of it like everyone's been asking for....
