how the heck to you convert to 5 lug?

I had the front hubs redrilled to a 5 x 4.5 from the stock 6 x 5.5 pattern and ground off the centeric tabs. this took a little tweaking as one of the bolt holes was in the same place as a hole for the brake rotor, I simply cut the back of the wheel stud off & tapped that hole to a 12 x 1.5 mm thread and used some thread lock, then cut the bolt for the rotor off slightly shorter, if someone were to use a 5 x 4.75 pattern like a chevy, you could probably not run into that issue...just speculation as I didin't measure the pattern before I got the wheels....on the rear, it is a 84-85 rx7 and came with a 4 x 4.5 pattern, so I had to have the axle shafts & rotors redrilled to
the 5 x 4.5 pattern, no issues here with fitment, I used longer studs front & rear as the stock ones were too short.

some people swap yota spindles & hubs up front & a yota axle in the rear which has it's own set of issues, I've also heard that rx7 spindles & rotors will fit the front too, I don't know if there is issues with the steering linkage / brakes or not on that swap....

as you can see from the pic, the engine shop was gonna set the head on to check for piston to valve clearance, and when he screwed the the head studs in that I got a while back, they are the wrong size, no worry tho, I've already been on the phone this morning & am gonna get them swapped out....hopefully that shouldn't take too long....once I get them back to the engine shop he said it shouldn't take them long to have the engine ready.

Hear are a couple more pics where I finally got the whole truck one color (well except for inside the bed & inside the cab) gonna put my bumper & grille back on today & will post a pic of that this evening or tomorrow, I painted them & the door handles & tail gate handle with the duplicolor "smoke" colored metal cast to give them a black chrome appearance, which more closely matches the machined lip on my wheels than the bright chrome, it all turned out pretty good...
