Yesterday: added the two pedal pads from NAPA, and added $30 heavy gray rubber floor mats (Goodyear) from AutoZone (needed to use up $10 credit before Feb. 24th).

Going to finish blocking the primer, fix a leak somewhere in the left front air bag and bleed the brakes as soon as the garage warms up

Stuffed my Cerwin Vega Earthquake, 18", folded horn, sub, in my shell. Disconnected 8" bazooka, and hooked CV to amp. Tunred my high pass filter from 80hz to off.

Sounds like ass. Amp just doesn't have enough power.

Put everything back as it was.

Don't put it back as it was.. get a bigger amp!

Me? I brought a bunch of electronics gear for building this ecu and did the rx7 s4 seat swap. very happy.

I'm thinking more reasonable sub. Perhaps a 1x12 meant for car audio. The CV cab, being the size of a typical dishwasher, was blocking half my rear window.

And perhaps a bigger amp as well.

I had to try the CV. Years ago, I ran a Fender 2x15 bass guitar cab, crammed in, where theback seat used to be, in my Cal bug. Got a ticket for "operating a radio or such device intended to be audible outside the vehicle." Judge said "Sounds like something I would have done a few years ago. 10$"

nothing to the truck, but I did start work on my mobile welding cart. I found a large piece of 1 1/2" angle iron buried where we are putting our compost pile. A bit of surface rust, but it cleaned up pretty nicely. Will be made completely of scrap metal and the wheels from my deceased air compressor.

Tanks will sit here, I need to make it a little bit longer but the depth is perfect:

I replaced all the transmission shifter bushings on my automatic (4 of them). I highly recommend spending the $30 some bucks and a hour or so to replace it. It's a safety thing as my truck shot out of park while running!!! this fix fixed my shifting issues too. I also found a rusty mounting plate and fixed that...

I talk about it here in more detail with lots-o-pics!

There are part number references there too. Dan

did some tedious body work on my truck bed. Wanna see? Too bad if you don't.

Nasty rust through. In the bed, gonna get a roll on cover, then a real bed liner over it.

Crap, forgot to take a pic with the replacement pieces for the holes, and the before picture of this one:

That's a bit better

Was some sort of rubber under liner under this bed, missed a LOT of spots. Don't care, it's getting a nice thick coat of black enamel when I'm all done with it.

Dash - yanked.
Mud dauber nests - eliminated.
Air selector working - freed up from mud dauber nests.
Now I get to tear everything else apart, install a new ignition switch and harness.

Fitted new Bosch plug wires and ditched the no-name ones that were each several inches too long, and cluttering up the engine - definitely the wrong set, probably for another vehicle. Don't need zip ties to hold them off the hot engine now. Starting is much better, and everything runs smoother.
