Cut out my old sheetmetal bed floor out of my trasged bed and started framing it in on my new bed!

Got a lot done for my first day back in the garage since last year...

Removed the 3" blocks, air shocks, put the factory springs back in (was monoleafed with overload), pulled shorter shocks, put stocks back in front, some old chevy shocks I had lying around that were the right length for the rear, and cranked the front up to level. Just waiting on tires now.

Might machine some upper BJ spacers to gain back some down travel, and possibly throw some 1" or 1.5" spacers for a wider track width depending on how the new tires fit.

For now, the ride is much better, just need to get an alignment this week and sell the old tires.

Crunk it up and drove it to the dump to empty the trash cans. Brought it back washed it and parked it back under the carport

Priorities... I liked it low, but it wasn't low enough...to go lower it was gonna need some $$ dropped in it to get it to my standards. And I just couldn't justify dropping more money into my $400 daily beater, the reason I bought it was to have something I could leave alone and drive daily, yea that worked out great. As it sat, it needed a notch, it would bottom out with any sort of load and with our horrible country roads. The air shocks helped a lot, but not enough for the loads I hauled on a regular basis...

(both of those pics were before the monoleafed rear and air shocks, just the 3" block)

We are about to start building a house soon, and the driveway is 1/4 mile long of red dirt right now, so I don't think the lowered stance and tiny street tires would handle that too great making tons of trips to get materials.

I like pretty much all trucks, low or sky high, it just wasn't in the cards to go lower with this one, my 67 C10 will be hugging the earth though, don't worry about that

It's been a while since anyone has updated this thread and a while since I've really done anything to my Dawg.

I replaced my O2 sensor so that my AFR would read and I can hopefully work on the tuning of the engine. Apparently I am possibly running lean at idle instead of rich as I had first thought. Truck's idle stumbles only during the Summer season. During the Winter she runs great. Anywho, trying to figure out the tuning software.

Rounding up parts to bag the truck. Yeah I know, I've gotten parts before only to turn around and later sell them...usually at a loss. Well that's not happening this time. So if you know of anything out there, hit me up Need bags, brackets, tank, air line, compressor, and a switch box. Planning on a 3 link set up in the rear. I want simple and reliable.

Interior changes are to come soon as well. Minor ones anyway...relocating some things, dressing up some things, etc.
