I haven't done much to the truck lately, although I have big plans with it this weekend...

Last thing I did was put a fuel pressure regulator on it on Friday, maybe this will take care of some of my fuel mileage problems...the stock mechanical pump was putting out 5.5psi according to the gauge I installed with the regulator, I turned it down to 3psi since the Weber doesn't like any more than 3.5psi. I'm thinking it may have been lifting the needle and making it run richer than it should.

Even though I haven't done much work to it...it has been doing it's fair share of work lately for me

Although only temporary, it bothered me so much that I took off those nasty 14" faded black and rusty steelies and put on a set of 14" chromies. Also got the tire shop to turn the white walls to the inside. Looks much better already! You can't really see it in the picture, but those black steelies looked nasty! The truck is from Florida and rust free, but I think the previous owner bolted on a set of wheel rims from the rust belt that just happened to have new tires on them.

My plan is to put on a set of 15" wheels, but I'm still trying to decide on which style of wheel to use, what tire size to use (low profile or big and meaty) and if I want to slightly lower or lift the truck. So until then, I'll be cruising around on the 14" chrome wheels with blackwall tires.

Oh, I also got the emissions test (smogged) today. The truck passed pretty well. Not perfect, but not too bad either. I'm so happy about that - I was worried I might have to do a bunch of work to get it to pass. It actually went through twice today - and did better the second time. The first time, the guy put typed on the form that my truck was a Nissan, so I'd probably have trouble when I try submitting it (even thought the VIN was correct). It seems they can't just correct the error and reprint the paper. They have to completely retest the vehicle!

I put my weber on today, tried to figure out how to hook up the throttle.. since its not a kit.. Put belts on my engine, caulked my new inner fenders prepping for paint.. I think I need to lower my engine to clear my stock hood. so now researching how much etc..

anyone got any pics of throttle linkages for their webers or info on lowering engines?

Hmm does the last week count? If so it has been.... plugs, wires, cap, rotor, ignition coil, starter....... Popped out a few dents... and a tire so then came the new 17s and some new 225 50's on them...... Fixed a hole into the cab and thoroughly swore at my mazda the whole time But I love the slow thing and will be putting up pictures soon they are on my droid just need to upload them. Oh I got a aluminum toolbox and acid washed the wheels too. Busy week.

i just replaced my steering wheel in the daily, took the one out of the my weekender for now

i was on my way to a minitrucker party last night, and i just left the house when i realized i forgot my canned goods for the food bank, so i got to the end of the street and went to pull a U turn, well... i got halfway into it when the wheel started to skip off the splines, by the time i was able to get the truck to the side of the road it was like driving an old arcade game, luckily the wife was going out to get something to eat and saw me at the side of road, i already had pulled the steering wheel off and had it in my hands, its a good thing i had some tools in my truck, so she pulled up and said i could take her car, i just had to get mine home, so i slid the wheel back on far enough where some splines would grab, and drove home in first gear

so now my daily has my billet and wood steering wheel and im terrified of wrecking it

this is my second grant steering wheel hub thats shit the bed on me, the momo one i have is working fine not a problem

so monday morning ill be ordering another grant hub from work

I did the "3000 mile since the rebuild" oil change/filter yesterday. Today I sprayed aerosol brake cleaner into the ignition key slot witha sray tube so that the key buzzer mechanism would shut off every time I pull out the key instead of sometimes.

Note: put down newspapers on the floor below the steering console, so dripping brake cleaner doesn't get on anything. Wipe up the bottom of the steering column promptly.

Got in, crunk it up and rolled the windows down...took it to the dump to haul my household waste away!
