I'm sorry if I kep trying to make this seem hard as you try to make it easy.
The cars you listed have a smaller engine with a different volumetric efficiency than the 2.2. The ECU would have a different fuel curve than what is needed. Some of the late model engines were 2.2, but they used the 12 valve head and the intake mounting pattern is different.
You will also need the distributor to make the most of your conversion, fuel injected engines have different timing curves than carbureted engines, so put that in your parts pile too.
It will "bolt up", but later models had the intake facing to the rear of the engine, sideways in the FWD cars, which would point at your firewall. You would need to cut the intake in half and flip the top half to the front and reweld. Only early (~86) 626 and 323 had intakes that went up over the valve cover. I am using a 323 2.0l intake currently, but I have switched the stock injectors to some 460cc models from a late model RX7, and modified the pulse width and idle charateristics to match my engine.
Give me a shout if you need any help on the project.
