Hey Russ, I already bought an external E2000 electric fuel pump.
We were late on the B2600 fuel tank.
I have not hooked up the E2000 yet.
Maybe next week, I will test injector spray with the fuel rail out of the manifold.

Anyhow, how much do you want for the RX7 in-tank fuel pump?

whats an E2000?

It is for an older model FI 4-cylinder Ford Ranger external electric fuel pump.

I dont have any information on that one.

If I dont decide to use this RX7 pump on my truck (my level sender is out), you are welcome to it. I have made enough in parts off this RX7 (I bought it just for the 5 lug RX rear) to

buy a hypertherm 600 plasma cutter

but a JD2 tubing bender and a set of dies, a stand, and a degree wheel

pay for the removal of the tree in the way of my new (hopefully soon) driveway.

So I can give some parts away to my mazda homies.

I might even make enough this week from parting the engine and the rest of the interior on ebay this week to buy a small drill press, tubing notcher, and chop saw. I gave the whole HVAC setup to friend with a body dropped Mazdranger (he lost his underhood setup), Gave the seats to my nef, gave the wheels to dwayno, and madlow has dibs on the trans if I dont use it my damn self lol.

But even if I do use it, you can have the one in my truck currently, its from a B2600i and has a brand new carter FP (they are replaceable)

Any one else need obscure RX7 parts? Not much left, I just cut off the rear passenger quater and got the seatbelts, center console, and passenger front fender ready for a guy in CT and got the sunroof ready for a guy in KC... But if I got it, you can have it, the car will be foot square hunks of metal at the recyclers by next week.

Russ, it looks like you are finding a lot of info on interchangeability of parts between different older Mazda models.
How do you find the time to do all these?
I remember you had mentioned that you are supposed to finish your EE degree this year?.

I am also in the same boat, my neighbors are already beginning to notice my parked 88B and a 92AccordEx.
The Accord is ready to get picked up by the recycler but not my 88B. LOL.

Let me know if you decide to let it go, I'll be interested.

I finished EE in Dec. I got accepted to grad school for an MBA.

I just like messing around with trucks.

Ok, I read this whole topic and i have not found the answer Im lookin for. Will a fuel injected turbo mazda/probe motor bolt up to the mazda tranny? I am not worried about motor mounts, i have sawzall and welder so as long as the motor will bolt to the tranny im gonna be a swappin fool. This wont be the first motor transfusion, carb to fuelie i have done the last one went well. I used the factory wiring harness from the donor car and put a 3.8 supercharged tbird motor in a 80 rx7, talk about a flying death trap that car is ungodly fast. We actually got out of a ticket by letting the state trooper drive the car and he told us to park it it was not safe. Third gear topped out around 130mph! The rearend has not held up at the track with slicks long enough to get a good run but the last 1/8 mile pass we made we spun all the way and still ran a 8.35.

Sorry to blab so much but this motor swap stuff gets me excited. I just hope yall wont ruin my hopes and tell me the tranny wont work.

As far as I know, the F2 family of engine block was used on the 88-92 B2200 trucks, 626, MX6 and Ford Probe. So this group will bolt up to the B2200 tranny.

yes it will bolt to the trans...but like stated before. the distributor will go right through the firewall and the intake manifold is just pointing in all the wrong ways.

What other fuel pumps will work for the FI mazda's (refering to externals)...and what fuel PRESSURE is needed.
The guy at the parts desk today said the stock pump does 60-90 PSI....thought that sounds waaay too high for normal fuel injection

Anyways

The list I am understanding right now for the conversion is

-intake manifold
-fuel rail, injectors (duh) stock fuel pressure regulator
-wire harness back to ECU
-ECU
-MAF sensor
-Fuel pump - external = less lines to replace - internal = stock fitment and fuel lines needed

-Distributor?

What about the exhaust manifold? with all those recirculating pipes that go back into the carb air filter? or 02 sensor?
