What model are the sandens that come off the 86-93? The pull a part up the road always has a shit load of 86-93s

The 508s and the 708s bolt directly up to the stock bracket thats made for my truck.

Thanks guys, cusser thanks man that would save anyone alot of time.

yes the im going to be using it as only a compressor to fill my tank and not for a/c. i phoned and they said they have a 90 mazda and a 93 with air conditioning and if i the pumps there i can have it for $25, so hopefully its still there.

make sure you take all the brakets bolts and a belt if it has one

They use Sanden 708 types.

wuts with R-12 or R134a i have read about one of them wont work for the aplication of a compressor, is this true?? and i think i need to get the one with the plug on the top to fill it up with : (oil or a oil refrigerant mixture)?

So do the 708s and 508s bolt up the exact same? like there mounting points are the same?

The ones with the plug on the top are preffered, but not required. You can add oil thru this plug, but the SANDEN compressors will pump it right back out as the cylinders are mounted horizontally. The York compressors have the cylinders mounted vertically and adding oil to the pump works much better. With the SANDEN, you should figure on adding an inline oiler to the intake side.

Also, I believe the 508 and the 708 have / use the same mounting brackets.

i went to 3 different yards and spent 2.5 hours and came up with nothing. One guy said its very rare to get a hold of a b2200 with a/c so now i want to know wut i should do and where else to look. also one of the yards has a whole bunch of ac compressors but half dont have any brand on them so i couldn't tell if i was looking at the right one. i need my truck to be up and running in less than a month so any help with be appreciated.

anyone??

You don't necessarily have to run the Sanden. You could run just about any A/C compressor as long as you can fab up the brackets to make it work. The York style is pretty easy to spot. Usually found on most older Fords. Kinda looks like a twin cylinder air compressor for the garage, but with no tank. Search thru some of the old threads on hear. I know I saw a B2200 with one in one of the EDC related threads.
