I know in the pic it looks like there is no support to the box but now its exoskeletally strengthened, the top will be shaved smooth with 14 g sheet , not easily dented, lol
will need traction
box will tilt too

Very nice work Dan - wish I could have done my daughters truck like this but it is what it is. Have a question though, just thinking about about how the clutch pedal is going to work in the above pic. Looks like plenty of room for the gas and brake but was not sure on the clutch. I know on both of my trucks I typically have to push the clutch pedal all the way in (or pretty close to it) when shifting.

As for how the tire fits into the tubs all I can say is it looks like you did a LOT of planning and test fitting. You should be able to get your wish when it comes to driving low. Another question, steering linkage and the annoying strut rod - are you going to have any clearance issues when rolling low? On the daughters truck (w/18" rims) the center link does not have a lot of side to side movement when fully layed out. Was not sure on your setup.

Looking good. Nice progress!!! Makes me want to go out and work on mine, but gotta wait till next week when the wife is off. Kind of hard to work when watching the kidos. Keep up the good work.
