oh, I am past that point by now, but I am adressing every single part and piece as I go.

Tonights progress, mocked up front end, believe it or not I will be able to turn while dropped, stay tuned for that one.......

Also I took care of the rust on the floor inside the cab, next I will weld up some more on the tubbs inside the cab modify the pedal and steering systems, modifythe back wall to allow a sub, and hit it with seam sealer, sound dampening and paint.
And I am forgetting to list something .........................lol

the half assed tuners that had this before me drilled holes like crazy in the back of the cab , prolly for amps etc.

I will do a little feature write up on how to deal with this type of damage and thin sheet metal repair, as it seems to be a common concern, I get asked about a lot, a little bonus write up for those following this thread who are new to welding
full pics step by step and tech tips,
give me your feedback as to whether or not it seems to be a good idea.

just went through this thread for the third time. love it. yeah i started all over. half way through because i skipped things or didnt plan for future plans....lol....ooops.

I was taught to deal with the steel, the way of the sawzall samurai.......lol
I am anti filler whenever possible.
It serves its purpose, but.........steel's the real deal.

I had to work today, I usuually dont have to work Sat, that would have been all the time I had to work on the truck, we'll see if I can git motivated here tonight.
