Sorry guys, I forgot about this post I have been doin all the updating on the post i set up when I was lookin fer a baggin kit.
I am still fightin the front end, I do have a solution anyways for that. At the moment I am workin on the rear set up, installing the c notches right now , I plan on installing a nearly parallel four link and watts link, set up. The further I go the more I am thinkin tilt bed hinged from the rear, it may make life a little easier especially for any maintenance issues. I want her as shaved as possible, I am thinkin 14 guage sheet metal on top, lots of strength , minimal warpage from driving bounce, and welding will be a lot easier and better.
I am waaaay out of practice with the welder I aint touched her scince maybe june. And that was the first time with the new miller I got.

Thats kind of a big jump in progress, lol
I
pulled the box
cut off the exhaust
dropped the gas tank
took off the rear shackles
took off the shocks, and cut off the shock mounts
mocked up the spots to weld in the c notch and tacked it in partially

Its a small pic kinda hard to notice everything. lol

okay , lots of updates with pics
I got this done a week ago but I have been having issues with my photbucket account, so I started a new one
progress...
-made brackets to link bars to the chassis
-four link bars tacked in
-axle bag brackets and link bar tabs welded in
-c notches 80% done

Why do your top notch plates not go all the way down to the frame?

Onto the front end,
I unbolted everything in the way that could be.
-torsion bars and anchor bolts and plates on lower control arm (both sides)
-wheels lol
-hubs and brake assy by unbolting the steering linkage and ball joints
-shocks
I couldnt get the locator arms off, so I cut them off! lol
Along with the....
-bump stops
-the middle bulge section between the bumpstops, to make room for bag plates and gusseting

oh jeez , I see whatcha mean
I thought with the typo you were talkin bout the front frame hangers I made lol
Yeh with the notches I didnt mock it all up first with the top plates supplied in the kit.
I was so particular about lining up the side plates on the frame correctly I overlooked that issue, so now I really got monster notches, lol I guess they mean for cutting the bottoms off of the side plates.
I have some bumpstops to help compensate , I also have filler material so the holes wont be there too long.
The FYI is FBI notches are made with too small of a top finishing plate.
In retrospect I would have welded up the notches inside and out then slid them over top of
the frame.

i would have gotten a bitchin lap weld and fillet weld on the notch sides to the frame, and then a bitchin corner weld on the top peice and bottom peice.
