while we're on the red out topic,I but my bulbs in my clear corners and obviously they just light up white, which is pretty boring. I can't find that bulb type in amber,so I'm thinking of getting the amber metal cast paint to do the bulbs in amber so I have clear corners that light up amber. And I don't want blue because that means you're a ricer. lol

NOPE the paint will burn off.....Tell me the bulb number and I can find the proper LED replacement for you, and they are daytime bright, so you can see them during the day, and when they are off they are clear so the lense will still look white.,

but the Metalcast paint says it's like engine temp resistant...a little 12V bulb can't possibly get as hot as an engine bay....

I like the LED idea though. I'll have to get the bulb number tomorrow. While we're talking LED parking lights, what about LED tail light bulbs for the stock assembly as well?

Yep I run all LED in my daily civic, and they were all pulug and play bulbs....I am now in the final design stages of custom PCB taillights with High power LED bulbs....

The ones I am designing will be brighter than stock, light up a cler lense 100 percent red, even in the daytime and stil use less current than a stock bulb.

But if you want to use a plug in bulb that is bright as hell and decent quality use these.

Yeah, the ones on top are 3 WATT leds, the ones belllow it are 1 WATT on the end and high flux all round it.

The bottom ones are just brighter 5 mm and 3mm leds, I ran them for a while but they are barely bright enough during the daytime....

their not that bad....around 20 a piece....or 150 - 200 for a complete car....

yeah thats not that bad, but compared to lika a dollar for a halogen bulb.

LEDs tend to have a longer life span though don't they? So really, they're worth the money.
